Humble Indie Bundle and why Linux and Mac ports are good
Hello all, I've been watching this progress and interesting data being collected from the Humble Indie Bundle
For those that don't know what it is.. It is a bundle of 5 cross platform games and 2 charities where you, the purchaser, can pay-what-you-want. And best of all you get all 5 games DRM-free. Anyways the latest interesting statistics coming out of the sales are summarized in this blog post. http://blog.wolfire.com/2010/05/Linu...-Windows-users |

Yep, got them already, even if I had Penumbra and World of Goo since before. Paid about $40 for them, since I don't buy games that often and because I want to show them my support - both as indie developers and developers of games with native GNU/Linux clients.
Looking forward to playing through Aquaria, seems like a nice game!

I bought the Penumbra trilogy a while back (paid $15 for it) mainly because it supported Linux. I was more than happy to show my support for these games, as well as the foundations they are splitting the proceeds with, despite having already played World of Goo and already having Penumbra.
Hopefully developers will see that there are users out there who are willing to pay for games on Linux. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Steam coming to OSX. If that does well then Linux may be next. Edit to add... I'll end up playing all of them, but for some reason Lugaru looks awful in comparison to the others. Am I the only one who thinks this?
