Trade Characters?

It is legal? Maybe it's a stupid question, but someone asked me and also I'm curious to know ehehe...

sorry i dont understand what you mean. maybe explain what excactly you mean by "trade characters"

i guess he is talking about trading his character for someone else character, so that would mean account trade. Dunno if it is illegal, but for sure it's a risk :P

It's not illegal, but it is against the TOS. It says in several areas of the game itself, and on this forum, that you should not under any circumstances give anyone else your password. Not even NGD. lol.

People do swap accounts, give them away when they leave, whatever. But usually they don't announce it on the forums.

If you do swap, you'll risk losing both accounts.

Edit:

If you meant trading your account for money, that is against the TOS as well:

"1. Regnum Online is only for your personal use. You may not sell or exchange anything you copy from Regnum Online or use it for any business or commercial purpose. As long as you comply with the terms of this Agreement, NGD grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to enter, use, perform and display Regnum Online and everything on it. You agree not to interrupt or attempt to interrupt the operation of Regnum Online in any way."

And, just in case that wasn't clear enough: "3. It is not allowed to take over another user's account."

So it's clear that it is a very bad idea, especially if you've spent a lot of time and maybe some money on your account because if you break the terms of the TOS ... NGD can do pretty much whatever they want with it and there's nothing you can do about it.

there have been people in alsius asking for people to trade acc then they find out it isnt "legit" and lose all of their sweet stuff. My suggestion is DONT DO IT

There have been plenty of real char trades (e.g lvl 50 char one class for lvl 50 char of another class) around before. But those days are gone now, and I would highly advise against you trading chars today under any circumstances.

As a matter of fact, the guy who was trading announced it on the forums. And he got a trade, from someone who didn't scam him. And NGD didn't care.

I don't know why NGD doesn't care about the traders characters.

As i know they want commerce live freely, and i think for that reason they want to control them with the character stash.
