Launching problem.

I have recently downloaded Regnum Online to my laptop and was looking forward to being able to play again.

Problem is, after I logg in, choose my world and click "enter game world" it then verifies as usual but once it is finished verifying the logg in window closes and Regnum online doesn't launch, no pop up comes up telling me something is wrong or if my software is out of date at all, I am just left staring at my desktop.
Is this problem something to do with the fire wall or is it something else?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated as I want to play ASAP.
