No, you get something that's called Necrostacy. You get 2% more when you're killed by a monster, and 5% if you get drown or commit suicide.

Necrostacy is a penalty, it takes 1% from all your attributes for each Necrostacy point.

In order to get rid of Necrostacy you need to kill a monster (or more). Depending on the difficulty of the monster, it will take more or less of that necrostacy. I recommend you to kill monsters with the same lvl as you.

You can get up to 10% Necrostacy Points.

I once i lost 10k in gold when i died, but it has only happened once and that im thankfull for.
