BUG: Shadows
Shadows are not working for me, tried all different combinations of settings. Launcher also doesn't recognize gfx card. Details in attached images.
Edit: oops, the launcher window is covering some info of the gfx card - it's ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB

I dont get shadows in shader 3, ever since the anniv update, but before that it worked.
I can however get them in shader 4, but shader 4 is a bit slow for me. I use an ATI card as well, though I haven't the faintest clue why it broke.

Taking a break from Regnum due to work leaving me little free time! So my laptop must go for now! (ask me for full details, it is an Alienware Mx18 3rd gen Ivy bridge i73920xm & configured with SLI twin Nvidia 675m, paid 3,330$ asking 2,800$ or 2,400$ + netbook. |

yeah, seems to be some odd clipping problem - for me: it looks like you I don't have shadows at all but I occasionally see a strip of shadow here and there.
switched them off until further info about a fix.

ATI cards aren't supported too well compared to NVIDIA cards and never have been, and probably never will be.
Try messing with the various shadow configuration variables in the configuration file. There's quite a few of them, although I've never tried messing with them myself since Regnum already barely runs on my ATI card despite it running other mid-end games at full frame rate and settings. The technique used by Regnum is some kind of shadow mapping, it's very picky about your hardware. Kind regards.

For the record while shadows tend to work for me on my Nvidia card they reduce performance signigicantly, after seeing shadows of trees where thorkal spawns. (There are no trees there for anyone who hasn't been). I can only presume that shadowing is a "tad" bit broken.
The other odd thing I noticed is disalbing shadows with post processing maxed tends to make all the graphics blurry dropping it down to 2 out of a possible 3 settings (the middle) fixes this. The different shader modes still need some work in my opinion, I'm guessing the post processing issue is because the game presumes you have shadows on and it needs to be fixed to check that they're not.
