When Mind Push is cast, the speed debuff is immediately applied to all enemies in the effect area, which is all enemies within 10m in front of the caster. Although the animation persists, the animation is not in any way linked to the duration and gives only a rough idea of the effect area, and it does not slow additional enemies entering the effect area, nor does leaving the effect area dispel mind push.

So considering Deafending area has also 10m area and 15 sec duration, mind push is a pretty risk spell.

It is pretty risky yup. That's why usually it is good to change direction right after casting and run. Even then possibility to be in warrior range is pretty big.
Still it is good as last resort spell. Sometimes it is the only thing you can do against madnessed barb. If he is DI'ed this do not work too.

a good barbarian can almost always stun you with roar if you don't cast mind push in the right moment and run in the opposite direction. slow is far more effective in a 1vs1 situation. mind push in a 1vsmany situation

2 things i think for more balancing barbs should trade deafening roar and howl, so howl should be 6m area stun, and deafending roar a 10m area dizzy.
Plus i dont think DI and UM cancel each other, but it should. |

2. With positioning bugs, the spell is almost useless because the barbs may be much closer than you think. 3. Barbs have spiritual blow as well for ranged attacks. |

Here are two examples from just yesterday. While on pb beach with Xeph, we encountered a level 50 alsirian warrior. At one point, Xeph cast mind push and slowed the attacker, but the area effect also hit a massive kelonte who then began to beat on Xeph along with the warrior. Xeph went down. Luckily I was able to cast sanc and rez him far enough from the kelonte to not interest it, yet close enough to the warrior for Xeph to finish him off. Then later in the evening, Xeph was part of a small group of us who nearly all died while field fighting a group of alsirians. Xeph was able to cast mind push on the barb that helped kill everyone else, turn and run to safety.
So yes, a risky spell because yes, it hits the area, but also yes, it's a lifesaver in certain scenarios.
