Quick question:
If i active a booster on one character , and then switch to another character on same account , will it still give the bonus xp on that second char?

I think boosters affect only character they was activated on. You can check that by looking on XP that mob gives.

No its only carried by/effective on, the one character.
You cannot stash them to give to your other alts either, if you have any left over
