You should have some Error messages if you start Regnum from your homefolder like this:
Code:
cd /path/to/your/regnumfolder [NOT THE LIVE FOLDER!] ./rolauncher

I do have the same behaviour. I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, 32 Bit.
Detected GPU: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 852GM/855GM ... I turned everything to low and disabled sound and music.... nothing. regnum crashes after clicking "Play", I can log in correctly. There is no error message, the program only instantly ends. Florian |

Same thing happends when I try to play. I've re-loaded it three times and it's the same thing. If you figure out what's wrong please tell me. I haven't even gotten to play the game because of it.

well, maybe the default linux driver for your video card is not enough to run games (like you have to install the nvidia driver for nvidia cards).
Check on intel's website if they provide a driver for linux. NB : it seems that many on-board graphic chips are not really supported (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/index...c=20&subsec=41) |

I'm also having problems getting RO to work properly. I have the client and it will start just fine and authenticate my account, but when I click play it crashes O.o
I'm not sure how to go about diagnosing the problem >.< because I didn't get anything useful in /var/log I don't know if it will help, but my machine is a Lenovo A55 with a Radeon X300 series. From what I can see the driver is Mesa DRI R300 and my OS is Xubuntu Fiesty 7.04 Any help would be appreciated. Thankies <(^.^)> |

NVM my post I figured out what was wrong. I had to reinstall my system about a month ago. Up until this point I hadn't installed any games so I forgot to check the restricted drivers list -_- It works fine now, but dammit I feel like a ditz :$
