A good gaming PC must not to cost more than 450 euros or 600 dollars even if you're not built it yourself. A Radeon 5770 or Radeon 6750 should be enough for all currently released games with high quality settings. If you prefer a NVIDIA card, you can consider a computer with for example GeForce GTS 450 or GeForce GTX 550 Ti card.
IMHO 4 GB DDR3 RAM is probably enough. AMD CPU's are often more friendly priced than Intel CPU's. I don't recommend All-In-One PC's (computers where everything is integrated in the screen). This would be crap, especially as gaming PC IMHO. |

I would recommend the following parts:
CPU: Intel i5 2500K, crazy performance for a good price. RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz should probably be enough. HDD: This is quite important actually. Especially if you want a stutter free experience in Regnum you should choose a HDD with good performance over one with a lot of storage. I personally use a Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB which works great, but an SSD disk would be even better. Look around a bit and see what would suit your price range. GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 460 or ATI Radeon 5770 as mentioned by Cuchulainn, depending on which you prefer. Both are very well priced and offers good performance.

Nvidia 560 is same as 460 in matter of cores but runs cooler because of newer process. If you want a little more power get Nvidia 560ti.

I don't think someone asking for purchasing recommendations would like to overclock the cpu...
I'd recommend i5 2300 or 2400 (2400 often isn't much more expensive than 2300)

Don't buy anything from the stores (Best Buy).... order on the Internet and check reviews first.
Make sure you are not paying for a bunch of extra bells and whistles that you will never use. Keep it simple and powerful in the right areas... such as graphics card, memory and CPU speed.
