I quit
Regnum is no longer the game I signed up to.
To NGD: Tailoring the game to suit the highest paying players it is ruining the game for others. When they have ruined everyone else's fun they will leave too. |

It doesn't matter what game you play these days.
You will run into the same noticeable theme. The dedicated legacy players will always have influence. The best thing to do is not to quit, rather understand something. It's not the players who pay more that get all the attention with changes in a game's mechanics... but rather the most active players. The high level players are the ones that use the game more and push it to the limits. As a developer these statistics are important when changes are made. If the most active players are creating most of the statistics then yes, they will seem to be getting all the attention. New players however feel left out in the updates. Place yourself in the shoes of the game makers for a minute. Would you focus more on new players when everything seems well for them as it is? And as a game maker would you focus on new players who might only be around for a short time? Dedicated players get threw all the humps and rise to the high levels without much complaint. Don't leave... just get up in levels and enjoy the fun with everyone else.

I've been playing over a year and have a couple of high lvl char's.
I was attracted to a game without cartoon graphics, where premium players had no advantage over non paying players (armour enhancements now), where chat was friendly, helpfull and active, where balance was considered a priority.... and plenty more. |

Faith game is not anymore fun as it was before. Anyone sees this. It become more beautiful and candy, but lost it's fun...
Hope NGD realize this and do something in that direction. RO is not only for WM's and Invasion lovers. It got alot more fun things before which are gone thanks to this two "features". Good luck IRL dude.

The best thing to do is follow your own mind. If the game is not fun to you and it does not provide entertainment as you desire then you make a choice based on that.
Our opinions do not matter that much, your personal feelings towards the game is what matters. Despite what Faith says, it is not about the developers, you don't need to understand their position, it is about what you get from the game. The job of the developers is to deliver a competitive, fair and infectious gaming experience that delivers quality entertainment. You choose to play and be entertained. If you are, you may feel inclined to pay coin to enhance that entertainment. If not , then you move on to something more entertaining. A lot of us play this game to be entertained, but a lot keep hanging on too. We see the potential, so we keep hanging around for "that update" which turns things around. It is clear to see that this is so by the swelling of the ranks every event, every update only to slowly see it leech away till next event. Some of us keep playing because of nostalgia, what the game was and how fun it used to be. We keep logging in hoping to find that spark again. NGD had a basic formula, and it was a winner. Now, for me, less so. I had a lot more fun at 50 than at 60 and stacked with all kind of gear. For me the "experience" was better. I am not saying that NGD should not have raised the cap. I am saying that somewhere in the mix the fun formula of this game was lost between 50 and 60. Best of luck in your future endeavours, Cheers. Regards Artec |

you can start to strike me with rocks
but... I found game more interesting than it was one year ago. I found Horus more active and joyful than year ago. I love War Master feature, I've started to love even save system: more tactic in fort wars and invasions. I love ship feature. sure, there are some things I would change but that is not my game so not my rules. My main desire regarding RO now is code optimization and bug fixes. RO eats too much power of my computer. For example Gothic III works with medium graphic on my old AMD Athlon with AGP Nvidia card fine, but I can start RO only with Fixed Pipeline. Anyway, good luck in RL.
