libncurses error

I get the following error after clicking on "Play" in the client.

Code:

Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
./game: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I checked and libncurses is installed on my Ubuntu 7.04 box.

A search of the forum here didn't turn up anything, so I thought I would post a question in case anyone else happens along the same error. If I solve it, I'll post the fix.

This is my first attempt to get this Regnum to install and run. I love that there is a native Linux client.
