Players inactive/quit/left for raven
This isn't meant to be a flame post, just a simple seek for those who know players that have.
I have a empty Friends list, and I have no clue where they went. I dont want to discourage new players from thinking..well so many people left..because we all have our reasons, not always include RO. Hmm or would it be better to ask in game if they know where certain people went to? whats the most tactful way of finding out? |

You have to remind yourself that this is not the only MMO out there and that in every single one of them veteran players will move on for a myriad of different reasons.
For instance, I left a previous MMO to play Regnum - not that I've quit indefinitely - and I may do the same again but then I also might return, hell I'm pretty sure it's feasible to actively play more than a single MMO. When a player quits they either gradually stop playing and fade into obscurity without telling anyone or they will inform a few select people - bearing in mind that different players log on at different times you may end up being one of the players who hears the reason from another persons lips/fingers(?). Unfortunately it's usually a case of you're told or you're not - some people may quit and not want to talk with any of the players they previously knew again while others may stay in contact through other means. It is depressing when a good friend disappears completely but it is their choice to do so and you just have to move on. In short, I really think if you don't know why someone has quit that there's nothing to be done about it - this is the internet after all, information can be erased just as easily as it is provided. |

Hanging out on IRC channels and other social media helps quite a lot to stay in contact.
Just saying.

Hmmm... most of my friends went for real life as me as well i have no time to play too much 2 jobs and 10-16 hours /day working.
I stay in touch sometimes on MSN with my ex game mates.A few of them went for others games, but most of them have no time,or ro does not work anymore on they old PC,so they gave up. |

Its mostly real life for me. I play when I can. That's why I disbanded my old clan.

Won't lie, I was playing on Raven since around May-ish. It was good at first, but then slowly as the server went on, I saw more and more what the GMs were kinda turning into. I think that Raven is good for some people, and they have some good things going for it, but it wasn't for me in the long run.
So now, on and off in the evenings, I'm back on Horus again along with a few others that I came back with. I'm playing kinda-sorta regularly again. Made some friends with some other vets, so I'm in their clan on Horus now. *needs to change his sig again blah* |

The reason I ask mainly, is cause i left suddenly (my sister had passed away very unexpectedly) so I took alot of time off to heal, and get back to feeling 'right' again, doing things I liked and all.
So I thought a few times to log in and let my friends know, but i always felt too depressed so never did. |

For me my own health has declined sharply in the last few years, limiting my ability to play. |

I've been contemplating a return to Horus but just not sure who's really playing regularly.
