[Haven] - Server Merge FAQ.
Welcome to the Haven FAQ. Any questions regarding the server merge should be answered here, but in case you have any doubts, I'll be glad to answer them through a PM if it's necessary.
When will the server merge happen? The merge will take place on April 18. How long will it take? The whole process is estimated to last approximately 8 hours. During this time, both Raven and Horus will be offline. You can check the NGD or GameSamba forums for updates when service will be resumed. How will this impact my account? Your account won’t be impacted in any way. If you’re currently playing via a GameSamba account, you will continue to use that account. If you’re currently playing via an NGD account, you will continue to use that account. Will this affect my characters? Your characters will retain their current attributes and trained spells, as well as rankings, quests completed, achievements, spell bar settings, inventory/stash content, and any other existing items. All characters from both Horus and Raven will be moved to the new server. However, due to the merge, names will be affected. How will this impact my name? Due to the nature of the merge, character names will include a suffix of the server they came from. After the new server is online, all users logging in will have free name change scrolls on their characters. Using these, you will be able to rename your character, or keep your existing name and remove the suffix. Clan names will also receive the suffix, and the same rules for impersonation will apply. Can I make my new name anything I want? Anything within the rules of the game, yes. Regular naming rules will apply. We also ask that our players employ common courtesy and don’t attempt to steal the name of another active player. Should this happen, if that person attempts to impersonate the original holder of that name, disciplinary actions will be taken. If you find someone has begun impersonating you, please contact the in-game support. Will rankings be changed? Current rankings will remain. However, due to two sets of players being mixed, your place in the rankings may change as a result. How will support be handled? For all matters relating to your account, you’ll continue to contact the support at either GameSamba or NGD, depending on which service you’re registered under. In-game support will be primarily controlled by GameSamba, working in conjunction with NGD. How will in-game purchases work? In-game purchases will function as they do currently. GameSamba and NGD accounts will be able to purchase Ximerin in-game with a variety of payment methods, and GameSamba users will continue to be able to use their Sambas to purchase Ximerin. Will there be any events around the new merge? Yes, there will be events for a five day period after the merge. Please consult THIS FORUM POST for more details. Regards! |
