Default mem leaks?

I noticed that after update RO eats up around 2,1 GiB of memory instead of 1 GiB before update, can anyone confirm that?

Nice catch.

Code:
-/+ buffers/cache: 2634 386
Code:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 8350 tiger 20 0 3973m 2,3g 49m R 46,9 78,0 415:05.72 game
I was wondering why FPS were so low and gameplay laggy, now I know why.

I play with only 1754 MB RAM (I actually have 2 GB but 256 MB is shared with my IGP card).

For me htop prints this:
Code:
PID USER PRI NI VIRT RES SHR S CPU% MEM% TIME+ Command
4884 wolfi 20 0 1577M 981M 79384 S 0.0 56.0 0:05.87 ./game
I noticed that playing under Calculate 12 (XFCE desktop) with the non-proprietary Radeon driver lags less than playing under Fedora 17 (Gnome shell) with the proprietary Catalyst driver for me. Although the framerate is considerable higher with the second. With proprietary Catalyst drivers it helps to reduce lags if tearfree video playback is disabled. But still laggier than the first system. My graphiccard is a Radeon HD 3200.

maybe the memory leak depends on the video driver, could it be?
