Suggestion to the community?

I know its not really up to me to say, but...

Recently Pointer made a post about the situation in amun. A large new graphical update and an introduction to the Mail system/Aution House....

I was actually glad to hear something about an update again... and i went on amun and it looked actually pretty... But not where i want to post this thread for..

I scrolled down trough the reactions on pointer... almost all of them were negative whining posts. *whine whine balance whine whine*, well if you have a look on the roadmap and chilko's posts it 'll say the balance / wm spell balance is planned for december. And you can catch up just by reading that the negative reactions they get from the community really disencourages it...

pointer requested us to allert them of bugs and all that such, not further complaining about the imbalance/gameplay problems...

we just have to wait

i suggest you, give ngd some positive feedback too ^^ don't whine too much about a free game, you don't have to play it

Well, dear OP, for me realm balance is essential for enjoying/playing RO, class imbalance is secondary and only after that comes graphic and such (tho i can live with current class imbalances since after all i can play another class). Imbalance between realms wasnt the best for a long time, after the merge between horus and raven it got even worse, and now its just unacceptable.
If there is no realm balance, it does not matter whether they provide me a hyper-super, mega-uber graphic and the same environment with living trees and water effect etc. or not, i WILL NOT play the game because its not fun, only frustration is around all time for me with nice eye candies.... That is just not enough, and sry if i was whining .

I do think the 'going off topic' stuff is getting worse by the minute
I know RO is screwed up and balance is the most important thing for the currently playing people

but if we keep acting like spoiled kids and complain and whine in every topic
how do you think NGD will react?

I've been on another forum a lot lately (bitcointalk) that's overrun with shill's. Don't thing there are enough english speakers on this forum any more for shill's to hide amongst but they where here in the past and some other game forums are full of them.

Don't think its an issue now but from everything Chilko's been posting NGD could be working on "that" update and if they get it right this could become a busy place.

Off topic and derogatory forum posts are often a method of discrediting a product or service and its a big business, discrediting a competitors product is often as effective as promoting your own.

It's true that there's a lot of rage recently, but it's not just pointless whining. I see the biggest problem in the lack of communication on part of NGD (a little improvement these days thanks to Chilko).

With forum lacking replies to players' suggestions etc. it naturally gives people the feeling that NGD is ignoring them or they're inactive. I'm sure the community would appreciate increased presence of NGD representatives on forum. Even a single reply to suggestions could win you more positive feedback (something like: "Okay, my suggestion would be hard to implement, but at least they cared to read through it and think about it, maybe they'll even add it in the future...").

Im not saying they shouldnt complain.. how would NGD know how horrible it is to play (sometimes)
after all.. I do think that the players who are currently playing only have 2 reasons
-bought too much xim to just walk away
-have great friends in the community which makes them stay

they're not staying coz of gameplay or because the game looks so good

still I do think they shouldnt complain in every topic making everything you read

Both reasons are true but I think just as many are hanging around and checking the updates because they know RO has huge potential, so much that they'll wait years for "that" update instead of just deleting the bookmarks and checking what's new on the MMO sites. The population explodes with every big update, when the servers merged there where some battles on raven with hundreds of players. NGD don't need to promote RO to get a big player base, they just need to make the changes players have been asking for.
