open the installer from terminal and look if it complains about something.

Perhaps a library is missing or you have to little space left. If kmdk is right, the installer requires about 7.5 GB. If that's a issue read through this thread: installation - no space left on device error

if the installer is directly in your user home folder, you can start it like that.
open a terminal
Code:
./ROInstall_64
if it complains about missing permissions, you can do this:
Code:
sudo chmod u+x ./ROInstall_64

Thank you!

but
I have not installer file or RoInstall_64 file,
I only followed this steps:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:surakin/regnumonline
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install regnumonline

then on StartMenu -> Games -> Regnum Online
but click and appears a windows popup "downloading regnum online launcher, with a progress bar..." then closed it

That repo was last updated 27 weeks ago, you might have better luck downloading the installer from the regnum online website (this link), and installing it yourself.

Well, I have similar problem...

Toshiba C660D - 2x AMD E-300 (1.3GHz) with ATI Radeon HD 6310

Linux Mint 13 Maya - 32-bit with pae (Mate and fglrx)

So ... I downloaded ROInstall_32 and run it.

Installation was finished without any errors (I watched the terminal) ..
On the first run, the launcher hails with the "welcome/login screen", then it goes trough the "server connection screen" ... and then ...
I guess this is the time when the real game is launched but it shows me just empty window/frame. To be exact - at the very first run - it showed two, wait 2-3 - seconds showed another two and closed first two, then after few second closed the lasts.

in next attempt for running the game - it just started for 2-3 seconds (again - only an empty frame) and closing...
Running with console it shows that the reason is:

Code:
negthorn@the-goat ~ $ regnum/rolauncher
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
So, I have no Idea what's the reason for this...

Ah! I cannot tell you what is the console output on the first run, but if you know how to reset the settings (username|pass|server etc.) I would do it, and simulate first run again.

After the update yesterday, I have this same problem

Has anyone had any luck fixing this?
I cannot get this game to run through Steam OR through the desktop download.

When I run regnum/rolauncher through terminal I get the Segmentation Fault error. When I try to run it through Steam it allows me to log in, but when I click play the screen just disappears.
