Regnum crashing in Windows 8

After the last update, regnum started crashing in windows 8, I can only play using forced mode or open gl with low fps. Anyone please help me?

Where is the problem? We Linux and Mac users have to live all the time with this broken and slow OpenGL mode since the summer update...

So this means it shouldn't be fixed because you don't want to use Windows and most games don't support Mac / Linux? I think you should be happy you can play this game on Linux and Mac.

Or it should just work properly if they already offer it :P

Thing is, 2 days ago or the last patch was "working" properly, apart from the installer of regnum being unrecognizable by Win 8. Ngd, can you just restore the old patch? New ones kinda suck.

Of course but if I buy a game and it doesn't work because I use Linux and I search on the web on solutions and I come across something about a Windows 8 user having difficulties, does it make sense to say he should f*** off because it doesn't work on Linux either? Nah doesn't make sense.

I'm sure there are certain difficulties making a game for Linux / Mac otherwise there wouldn't be so few games available for these operation systems.

And I'm sure NGD does their best, being a small company as they are.

Not more difficulties than on Windows especially noadays when a lot of high level libraries and 3D engines are crossplatform requiring nearly zero-effort to make a game available everywhere.
The fact there's more games on Windows just means that it's where the gamers are because that's where the most games were/are (virtuous circle). Because Microsoft managed to tie games to its enclosed environment via DirectX, Direct3D and other non-crossplatform APIs.

Sorry for the offtopic but you should inform yourself before throwing nonsenses. It's not a matter of difficulty but a matter of market share.

On topic :
I think there was people having troubles with the latest Catalyst drivers on Windows. Anyways we need more info to help you, such as your hardware, driver versions, etc...

First SS is I'm trying to open the installer and it doesnt work, at all. Second and third SS' when you try to connect to regnum without force safe mode.

This all happened after that new patch that has a new feature for Battlezone and removed the valentines quest.

Calm down, I made a joke and wanted to inform you in an ironic way that what this user is annoyed about we have to accept since last summer, in other words more than half year already. Of course they should fix it but they also should consider that there are players waiting monthes or even years for some bugfixes...

The worst thing is that before this update that only brought improvements for Windows players the Linux version worked better and faster than now and as far as I know in the same quality as the Widnows version. But during the last year they broke one thing after the other, every update made things worth... but ok, it is a bit off-topic here
