Creeping EU Totalitarianism

You mention the Euro as success for the EU, but in the current crisis its not a safe currency. A lot of people who have Euro savings on the banks buy gold, silver or take up shares or exchange their Euros with a safer currency (USD, Pound, Yen is probably not considerable safer), because they fear a huge inflation or a worse bank crisis. The next months and next few years might be pretty interesting I think.

The Euro was one of the stronger currencies during the crisis until Greece turned out to have lied -- with help from the same American banks that got state support. If there would have been a tighter control from Brussels this would have never happened, or at least not as bad as it is now. Furthermore, I think it was either the French or the German government that said there had been people on the stock exchanges gambling on the fall of the Euro to make a good profit from it. They had spread rumours about the currency.

I find that video more creepy, or shortsighted, than the whole Lisbon Treaty. If Nigel Farage is the one that leads your movement you'd better jump ship immediately. I wouldn't believe a word he says, he's a true populist.

The secret Bilderberger conferences of the politician and economic elite exists really, that is not a conspiracy theory. And people can have doubts about their good interests...
Yes it does exist, of course, we know about it. There was no one saying the Bilderberger conferences are just conspiracy theories.

Please can we not talk about such things in this thread?

Sorry for talking so much off topic here.

@topic
I just found an interesting article which shows some oddities of the accident and the reportings: Polish Elite Eliminated

Im aware of the fact not everything what the author implicates is very believable, but there are some oddities in the news.

Here is a video of the crash site, short before rescue workers arrived:
Polish President Kaczynski plane Crash death 10.04 2010

Pizdzius 04-11-2010 10:21 PM

The answer is very simple. Cause we have just one gov. active plane. :|
after that accident, we got a free one from LOT airlines. Right on time!

This website asks so many stupid questions. I know I'm the one saying that, cause I know what's on Polish media and I know many answers to those questions. I do realise that what we hear every hour, you hear in short sum up once a day, perhaps.

Today we watched the President's Coffin arriving to the palace. It was an amazing "journey". From the farewell in Russia, which made me really touched (both anthems played, the army salutes, Putin's biding farewell), to the last meter of the ride through half of the Warsaw. Arrived at the polish airport, dozens of his friends and important gov. people came to touch the coffin and say bye. Then the coffin went off for the public goodbye, and the tv news played Chopin's funeral march (the most incredible music by him in my opinion) This whole time, all kilometers, there were thousands of people crowded up among the streets, throwing flowers at the coffin truck. It was amazing. I never thought this can happen. If that was a natural death, it would be very different, but he died when fulfilling his duties, in a terrible catastrophe. It's so unfair. :|

No i dont, death is just part of the cycle of life i only have one surviving grandparent now, as my others are dead. I was just trying to say as a child you dont see death with the same eyes you have as an adult.

Yeah while i was away this weekend it was all over the news. It was compared to the UK losing most of its parliament.

To clear some things up:

We had two Tu-154M planes, that were used for officials transportation. One of them crashed on Saturday.
Also, we have couple of Jak-40 planes and Mi-8 helicopters used for domestic (in-country) officials transportation.

From the political point of view in Saturday's crash died:

The President of the Republic of Poland
3 Ministers from the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland
Head of the National Security Bureau
3 Senators
15 Members of Parliament
The President of the National Bank of Poland
The Polish Ombudsman

From the military side:

Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces
Polish Land Forces Commander
Polish Air Force Commander
Polish Navy Commander
Polish Special Forces Commander
Polish Operational Forces Commander

The second Tupolew is under maintenance and is unable to fly.
Jaks were used to transport journalists. One broke up just before the start, so they had to use second. Arrived safely.

Wikipedia is covering pretty much everything about political and military loss. The empty military seats are 80% taken by assistants and successors.

I Think the Russians did it, i think this is their revenge on Poland for the Polish alliance with America ( and the approval of Poland that America can place a rocket shield in Poland) It would be a typical Russian act.
