Yes, you may skill for Winter Stroke(5) and join band of marksmen suckers that spam it mindleslly in most unconvenient moments, but the fact is that it is you that will play in this setup, and it has to suit your needs. So don't be mad at VandaMan, cause he was maybe not polite, but completely right. There is no ultimate setup, and if you'll analyze your gameplay, you will finally reach yours. Then NGD will revise balance and you'll find that your setup is no longer valid.

You basically just proved Van right. Take his advice. Only way to learn what spells to use is to use them, make mistakes, reset, repeat, until you get something that works for you.

That setup is not so bad :)
But always get parabolic shot atleast on 1, and a defensive buff. You didn't get Evasive Tactics(best dmg reduction, also 2nd best dmg reduction for DoTs), Acrobatic good against all classes and Strategic Position good against marksmen and ranged.

I see you got Cat Reflexes + Finesse. I sometimes wanted to try it but never did. Could you tell me how you went along? :p

Errrmm ... if it fits his style xD

On the other hand - there are so many setup dictators out there, who tell you how to play and how noob you are, just because you don't use exactly the same build they do ... so the best thing each of us can do, is go his way and don't care bout all the "you're noob because you use X,Y,Z"-comments

i noticed it reduced the amount of shots people were putting on me when i used finesse allowing me to escape if needed with minimal damage meaning i got away evading more shots than i usually did try it out if you get the chance. ill try to keep improving the build. i know i need acrobatics and about parabolic shot i mainly planned to try and reduce having to switch between bows too frequently to make everything flow but ill try the build with it

I tried it a week ago in some random encounters. My conclusion is: compared to escapist it's mediocre.

Cat Reflexes (5) + Finesse (5) = 10 used skill points and you evade only 1/7, maybe 1/6 hits. With Escapist you need only 5 skill points and you evade 3-5/7 hits.

The only advantage of the catreflexes/finesse-combination is the 50 sec duration, but for me it's simply not effective enough.

Ach, i tried Finesse without Cat Reflexes too. With the same result. It just confirmed my previous opinion, that Cat Reflexes is an useless filler-skill.
