What pet hits harder??
 

This is just a general question to hunters and those attacked by hunters....

Which pet hits the hardest? I'm tossing my mind back and fort using Cyclops Warrior or Ignean Orc Grunt.....this is without bestial wrath - just base damage?

To me they seem pretty equal when i'm attacked but i'd say Orc.

What about wich pet hits harder training up to 15 the pet branch ?

Im still think about making that configuration.

PD:looks like cilopes hit harder, but orcs are harder to kill

I've wanted this configuration for a long time; however, until the Beastly Wolf bug is fixed from Syrtis no pets are worth it. The best pet is the beastly dark wolf from alsius but you can kill it quickly and it doesn't hit very hard.

From when I attempted to use the Beastly Wolf it would hit for 200-220

Realy. With all my buffs lvl3 i normaly have 230dmg but problem with pet's is that they have different dmg. I have done some test. Savage goblin is damn good pet but you need to use high lvl bestial wrath. Cobra is awsome. Aquantis could be great but it have piercing dmg (with 3lvl armor passive i was dealing 70-100dmg to it). Orcs are great. My problem with cyclops, tol-tars and yetti is that they are huge :]
I will probably back to savage goblin - less dmg to hunters but i like their crit rate and 3 lvl bestial should work. We could do some tests on Amun? What do you think about that?

oh I just thought that the pet you have, which one hits harder really depends on your opponent too what kind of armor he has.

If he's good against blunt, pierce or slash. I don't know what kind of damage each mob has but it's not always like you would think it is (considering their animation.)
My best bet would be to get three armors with htese stats

pierce: very good
blunt and slash: very bad

blunt: very good
slash and pierce: very bad

slash: very good
pierce and blunt: very bad

the rest of the procedure should be easy to figure out

Also, I'm kinda getting the consensus here that alot of hunters use bestial wrath....I've used it before but always so hard to find the points for it.

I'm having trouble finding points for pets period.

I have it on 3 but i almost always forget to cast it ;p
I use it only while hunting. But it is like breathing then. Tracking, 100-50m buffs, mana regeneration, bestial, mobility or/and camu and charge ;p normaly i don't even think that i have it.

Right now (I did some tests) I have wrath on lvl 5 - OMG love it. I have my own way of using it which I won't discuss here :)

Also, I don't use camo - I'm configured more of a brawler - which I REALLY REALLY like right now. You'd be suprised at how many groups of ~5 Wudy and I chew threw regardless of level - it's awesome.

Well....you got to see the carnage (or hear it) today. It finally took your crew of 5 hunters to take us down - I LOVED IT!! What was the funniest was TALEGO (spelling??) haulin arse off into the distance.....he's so brave :)

When i spawned in altar and tracked 4 archers lvl 50 ... it wasn't nice feeling :D

I totally agree, as a lvl40 I find hyena/wolf type mobs to be most effective;
medium to slow speed, decent damage and some decent defense, plus is not butt-ugly like a cyclops :clapclap:, I'm guessing they just are in the middle of everything..damage, speed, defense.



P.D: The Beastly Dark Wolf is lvl39 and yes I get the same bug with the Syrtis Beastly Wolf :( .

I'm knight and I dont like if hunter use Cyklop Warrior, this pet really nice hit's me, I think he has best dmg.

but even the strongest cyclops die so easy....

What about an aquantis captain? Do they hit very hard?

The pet that hits hard, that Ive seen is a Great Hyena 300-400.

An Aquantis Elite and Ignean Orc Grunt's damage seems to be more or less the same actually.

Tol-tar or Troll Slaves seem to do the most damage for a lvl 40 pet but have horrible defense.

Great Hyenas also do slightly more dmg than the lvl 50 pets but have a slower attack speed and worse defense.

Then there's beastly hyenas which hit even harder.

Then Ira came along and killed me so I could gather no further data :p

EDIT: Beastly Hyenas hit the hardest but they attack slowest and have low(er) defense. Of course cyclops warriors hit harder than them though.
EDIT2: You can find Beastly Hyenas just near Ignis' gate.
EDIT3: On another note, I think Ignean Orc Grunt's damage should be increased to around 300.

I would love to see the Elite Cyclops Warriors lowered from lvl 52 to 51 instead.

I have seen 700+ criticals from my lvl 48 cyclops with Bestial Wrath lvl 5 already. Would be awesome to have the bigger brother as a pet, though i don't think it will happen.

But i'll dream for a bit longer...

Edit4: Zarkit from unranked conj = 250-350dmg with all my buffs
Orc's dmg with the same buffs = 170

So for pet i would like Zarkit :D

Most hard hitting pet for me? Easy, i use a hunter, i call my 2 pet hunters Teapot and Compost :wiggle14:

In that post, health, damage, and speed of pets (lvls 48-51 approx.) are shown (The tests was performed without armour).

after some nice asswhupings i would say the goblin in the swamp because its hardly ever killed doesnt show your location in hunts (spoil it) and hits hard lastt update i checked and i think now it got better defense because before it was ridiculusly easy to kill. p.s im no hunter my pet is a demon but thats my opinion

It is good pet. But orc is better ;p

I'm very happy with my orc.....won't change. I've sent him after many people and he comes back 80% of the time :D

same with demon but some times he just crapes me out and i want him to die.
i would just like to bring up that it would be cool if a conju has zomby on 5 it would be normal and not unchalenging it get boring having a demon all the time

HAHA - yeah - some noob barb made the mistake of attacking my Orc after a group fight (I was pushing daisies). I though to myself - that guy isn't gonna hit my orc is he....yup - he sure did....and my orc busted his arse....BEAUTIFUL :D

Iv got 2 pet goats ones called Inkster and the other is Eli hehe :horsey:

My favorite pet was always Prince Bowvyn, lvl 50 Barbarian of the Order of Daggers, and a good friend of mine. ;)

Forget the pet, maximize your -character- skills and run in the company of a skilled barbarian instead.
