The World Cup event
 

So then, we have ANOTHER event on our hands, you heard right. Fuck balance, we need events!

Basically the premise is:

You play for your country.

When you kill someone, the RP earnt is added is a total, that applies for all realms, on all servers.

At the end of the world cup - the country with the most RP wins.

BUT - In order for you to contribute your RP - you need to buy a premium item. :clapclap:

They can be dropped - but there are only 4 boss mobs in game that may drop it. :clapclap:

My thoughts:

At first; oh great, another event. More wasted time that could have been better spent.

However, it doesn't sound too bad. Basically all you have to do is kill everything that moves. Sounds good to me.

Also, if the competition if by Country... NGD do realise there are TWO WHOLE GERMAN SERVERS? Fail.

I see everyone picking a german team now and other coming in dead last XD. The event in theory is great though i would like an explanation of the whole inter-server thing maybe if they will have a certain cap for certain teams.

Yes we may need some sort of cap on certain seeded teams. I can see probably Brazil, Germany, Italy, England and a few others getting over subscribed. I am now rather happy my country Trinidad and Tobago didn't qualify. I think I might be the only guy playing that jersey.

I see the overweight Maradona there as a hero. Let us hope he doesn't have the "HAnd of God " power. We may not be able to defeat him.

I see we got a bald headed Frenchman , A tall Brazilian and it looks like a German.

I am guessing the German might be Klinsmann.

French man could be Zidane.

All in all this looks very good on paper NGD. Several ideas in one. Good luck and I hope it is a hit on the battlefield. I am sure to give it a try.

A teaser on AMUN the day before launch would be nice too. If there are any kinks, maybe the community can spot them to make this one an overall success.

Also , good job on the presentation of the event. It certainly is a vast improvement and much more clearly transmitted.

AAh I am torn . I want to back my traditional team Argentina but, I don't mind backing Spain or Chile either. Decisions, decisions.

Big question is I would love to see who is backing Korea DPR. I could see some of these sides getting no Rps at all.
Not a necessity but it would be nice to see the top 3 teams on an in-game tab.

One last thing. Please make the uniforms so I can store it in my stash please. I would rather not have to put it in tab 5 of my inventory.

At least this event encourages actual fighting, so hopefully Horus will be a bit more active than it is now.

Exactly, we approached this event in a way that encourages what Regnum does best, Realm versus Realm. So, even if you don't like the context, you will probably appreciate all the skirmishes and battles.

I have a fear hunters will contribute mostly to their teams, as they seem to get the most rps these days, with the overpowered troll, the spamming cheap spells, the never losing.....

Couldn't care less about soccer/football and Canada's not in it. That means I have absolutely no reason to cheer for any team. I guess I just have to kill everyone in sight instead. :cuac:

NGD should of made a hockey theme event when the olympics were in vancouver :P

Soccer sucks as a sport, imo (yes I expect the flamage). I think the whole world's delusional on this game. But I'll participate in the event.

I find it boring as hell to watch, but playing it is great fun.

Not quite as boring as Baseball, which is my main complaint about my own country. Why they consider that stand-around-fest the national pastime is beyond me. I think Americans got addicted to statistics at one point, which might explain why D&D came from here.

American Football, Hockey, and Basketball are, imo, far more exciting to watch than soccer and baseball., strangely those are the less-popular sports worldwide.

This event sounds really awesome to me. Im not a soccer fan myself but who cares if you like soccer or not. a pat on the back for ngd for sparking violence between realms again lol. i wont be supporting my home country (south africa) because my chances of winning anything is the same as our chances of our soccer team making it past the first round.... so im for hire if any country wants me ;)
