Multirealming, is it a problem?
 

Hi. NGD have rules about multirealming but don't seem to enforce them, I don't really see how they can atm with dynamic ip's, multiple clients or even multiple PC's so this question's hypothetical:

Should multirealming be allowed or should everything possible be done to stop it?

For RvR this is problem i think... but if they have fun playing other realms they can have it,rite?

I dont think it should be allowed, but it cannot be easily enforced. enforcement of the no multirealming rule should only be done on problematic cases where it's abused. dont start a witchhunt on multirealmers.

Well realy i dont care about multirealmers.
If they spend cash to make chars ,is they own probleme.
From my point of view i see no issue with them.

If they spend cash on game is good for NGD too.
That argue with spy is for kids think.Action is too fast and there are no more "Planed" invasions to have a impact on...just random invasions and cap forts.


Even i played Syrtis and after left him to join alsius i chosed to delete my
chars,but just because i don't wanted to play anymore Syrtis.

I neighter understand why ppl care so much about multirelamers.
A second argue with realm balance is stupid too.Because ppl that blame a multirealmer,maybe that person made a second acount to help other realm that is weack.

And your poll has no "I don't care " option...so incomplete.

And this think is not bad nor good.They are,they have fun,maybe spend cash,maybe they keep this game alive.

About that ban per IP is stupid too.Because if there is a Student Campus that 20 players of game exit all by same IP...you ban 20 acount of diferent players.So imposible to make.And maybe lose more players.

I pointed out this is hypothetical because its practically impossible to enforce and made no suggestion that it should be enforced.

+1 I agree. I voted "good" but I don't care about multirealming. I'm of the view that there is no problem about it and I'm sure all of us tried to play in another realm at least once.

If all the multirealmers would be banned, there will be third (or less) of the players in the game :play_ball:

It's actually a very very big problem. Not to MMO's just to unbalanced RVR games.

In my opinions this is a very big problem. Lets say 25% of a realm Multirealms and as we all know there is always 1 realm that you would pick above the other one. Lets say youre from Syrtis and would pick Ignis to multi-realm on. You join a big clan, in Ignis, they tell their most trusted members about a secret invasion to Syrtis and you might have heard a bit of it. You ask around and you got the date/time. Log on to Syrtis and then when the 'large' ignis group is at their point to strike all of a sudden there is a 'huge' Syrtis zerg which apperently knew they were coming... Well how would they know =O ?

Anoother problem could be that in a fight.. in the innerzone there would be alot of Reds but when there is a big war they all log off and get on their Syrtis chars to fight for the other realm which eventually would mean Unbalance.

The question is asked badly thus its meaningless. Multirealming IS already happening so u can not just " allow " or " stop " it. The question should be " Will you do anything against multirealming or not?" :D

NGD cant do anything against it afaik or even they do not care at all but its a real issue.
#1 reason of the imbalance between the realms imho and yes everything should be done to stop it at any cost.

The real question is :"Have you any valid proves that over 25% of ppl are multirealmers and this breacks balance?

When you say a person/more ppl make something bad you must have a valid proves about.

This discusion is something relative.
Yes are people a that are multirealmers.But there put a a few questions:
-Is good to ban multirealmers?
-What will be the impact?
-What if you ban multirealmers and you find out in fact was the point that balanced your realm and after is more bad?
-I have any proves about how many multirealmers are?

I dont think multi is bad or good.But is relative discusion about something wee don't know what impact has in game,wee don't know how many they are,wee don't know how much $$$ expend in game.


Just complaint about some persons that i dreamed yesterday night.

Planned invasions are worse for the game than what multirealmers are imo.
Voted good, but if available I'd probably have voted "I don't care".

These questions are irrelevant to the thread, it was clearly stated that it would be almost impossible to prevent mulitrealming.

Discussing what would happen if multirealmers where banned is pointless because its impossible. The game currently has many multirealmers, this currently has an effect on the game, in your opinion is this current effect good or bad?

I dont care. I think ignis/alsius players are also humans but im still not sure about this!

Stupid poll options tbh. Its neither good nor bad, its just overrated.

I voted bad for some reason :
- Players who only want to play the current *strongest* realm
- Players who only want to harrass the players they don't like and fight against (by using freeze or others annnoying spells)
- Players who only want to drop boss items for when *maybe* they will switch realm and/or/hide items and make them unused
- It make hard the realm population balance for NGD

It ´s not good, but there are bigger problems...

Multirealming? I don't really like it. It used to ruin the game for particular realms (Like Alsius) since we have no players Its not really a problem anymore.

I think you need to work on your polling skills. Forum polls aren't all that great of a measure of opinion in the first place, and when you can't even construct one properly the results are meaningless. Anyone who would answer "multirealming is good" is clearly retarded. Of course it isn't "good," but that doesn't make it "bad" either.

- Players who like to chat with ppl from other realms (just to get to know them)
- Players who want to see how the other realms look like
- Players who enjoy fighting for the "wrong side"

I know many multirealmers who are fine and not a problem at all.
I don't see what's wrong for someone to change to another side for more challenge/differences etc...

Of course there'll be always some douchy multirealmers who'll spy or just come to insult, but there's douches everywhere and we cannot do much against them anyways.

I know it's supposed to be forbidden by the rules (like multiaccounting) but enforcing them would make a lot of players leave and would create more issues while not resolving the matter...

As others have stated, by complaining about multirealming you're taking a hypothetical problem and making it a problem for NGD's line of revenue. Taking away multirealming will directly impact NGD's main flow of cash, as I can say from experience over the years that most users who put alot of money into this game are not new players or those who start in a single realm, but those why go to other realms to try them out, buy lv45+ scrolls, mounts, XP scrolls and the whole works who already know the game and want to play it in a different light.

I don't agree with multirealming. I never multirealmed on Horus in the few years I played there, and I made a strong point of never doing so. However multirealm on RA but it was an entirely differently community there multirealming was encouraged, as enemies often got along well as friends and loved to hunt together and hang out inbetween battles (alot like Horus used to be in the early days). But I would not enforce this view upon anyone else - each user is allowed to think what they want to about multirealming, but I think that ultimately it must remain as a freedom, both for the benefit of users and for NGD's pocket. It may hurt the game, but I guarantee you the impact it has is so miniscule that it doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things compared to the sheer amount of other problems in the game.
