Which server?
 

Hey guys! I'm new in this game (I'm from Asia btw :D), and I've been looking around the forum to see which exactly the best server is to play in (and in which realm). Anyways, from what I know - correct me if I'm wrong:
1. Horus is International but dying,
2. Ra is International and more alive but filled with Spanish people,
3. Raven is filled with NA people, and
4. I don't know much about Amun.
So yeah, please help me decide!! lol thanks in advance! :eguitar:

No matter what you do, don't play on Amun. Because it's a test server and all the data erases/merges with the main server that you play after some time :)

I have heard horus ignis is nice!

Since horus probabbly will be merged with either Raven or Nemon or both! Its probabbly best to start on Horus or Raven, but if I were you Id keep in mind that this won't happen for 100% sure. So if If it were not to happen it would be best if you would pick Raven, Its a cool server with more cool events,tournaments and the server is hosted by a very much player-friendly Company.

And this is comming from a Horus player so im not biased or something xD

raven is full of bonuses, grinding players, events which have only little to do with the game, and not much war. Horus is rarerly bonuses, grinding players, no events and not much war. I suggest you try ra, I have low level lock there but since it is low level, I didn't join any war (35 lock gets 3-4 hitted by marks from 50m, or serpent bite + WS 5 and you dead) and because i have high level characters on other servers I am too lazy to grind another one on ra, so i just gave up.

Idk where you get these merge-with-raven ideas, if that should happen, than problem which some would have - different realms on each server, some ppl on horus even have characters in multiple realms, which was kind of ignored by NGD and from what I know, no one banned for multi-realming, practicaly being allowed.
raven GMs don't allow multirealming, and they ban one of the accounts if people do play in several realms (they stated on forums, that if someone want to try another realm, people can ask them to ban old account, make new one and if they don't like it in new realm, they can go back by asking GMs to unban old account and ban new one).
So if this would be to happen, characters would have to be transfered across server and realms or player would have to sacrifice characters in one of the realms. But I wouldn't like playing agains my friends from neither server just because they merged, ...
From what I remember when there were transfers from ra to horus, one had to be in the same realm on both servers to transfer.

Horus: defenitly not dead, we just all love complaining
(its really a time zone problem, and Im afraid asia is a part of it.
If you want to see 'big' groups you have to stay up late)

Raven: What I heard from friends.. (Im to lazy to check myself) is that they mostly grind
and that the wars are in USA time, so if your from asia.. get up very early and play to see those

Ra: I dont hear stuff from Ra to be honest.. If any1 leaves horus they go to raven,
to return 1 month later complaining that they are 60 already and dont know what to
do but grind their horus toons ;)

And join the realm you like the most, you will always find players you like and dislike in every realm.
Find the realm that you think fits you :)

When NGD is talking about a defenite solution to low population servers what do you think they are going to do? Delete them? Hire a group of random people to please play on their server? Its quite obvious they are negotiating with either gamessamba or gamigo (Nemon) or both to merge the low population servers.


Well its quite obvious Gamessamba would change its policy then, do you really think that GM's who often are players themselves have anything to say about gameplay? Do you think that DkySven (Former GM) who lives in the Netherlands was asked for permission by NGD to implent a update?

That won't happen for already mentioned reason: It will end up in huge mess. Basically that's equal to giving each player in RO free account in other realm. = destroyed RvR, which NGD wouldn't never want.

Really? Go ahead and tell me how this is going to give every player in ro a free account in other realms, And don't forget to mention that the vast majority of the Horus players have a character on Raven! *Sarcasm*

You act like servers have never been merged before, You forgot about Tyr? Go ahead and tell me how that situation is different from the situation we have now.

I can confirm that Nemon is in a really bad state, population decreased badly(go check warstatus), this could lead to a merge with Horus but I really don't know what Gamigo thinks about this server. If they gonna merge I"d give it a try again, haven"t played Horus for ages :p

OT: as we see the bad state of raven & nemon, it's best to join horus.there are still a lot of cool wars, just there are some timezone-issues. Pick a realm which looks fine ;)

Yeah Gamigo f ed up, so many players don’t return because they’ve lost their emails, can’t change their passwords and hence can’t enter the game. xD

In RA there are also english people with good clan, you can try RA. :thumb:

Hopefully the creator of this thread is still reading this thread after all the crap above me.

Raven isn't just North American, they opened their doors to everyone, and it's just as diverse as Horus now. About this time of day Ignis (Horus) and Alsius (Raven) will begin invading nonstop. There's a lot of down time in both servers where there is little to no war, but there can be a lot of fort wars, too.

I'd recommend Raven due to the involvement by Gamesamba. They host events frequently and have GMs online 24/7, but they usually don't interfere in gameplay unless there's cheating involved, which they resolve much faster than NGD. At the moment, there's a constant 100% XP bonus on weekdays and 200% on weekends, which doesn't interfere with war much at all. Oh, and a free level 30 scroll is currently available if you redeem the code "xfire" in game.

The only difference is that Raven is bigger then Tyr but the principe is the same, claiming servers can't be merged because people had accounts on several realms is nonsense since it has been done before. On a smaller scale but it has been done.

Brilliant insights, guys! Thank you so much :D I've decided to go for Raven Alsius. As soon as I logged in, the red guys were owning the whole war zone -__- hahaha. Oh well, I hope us blue guys win some forts soon!

To understand dying Horus or not you need to play on this server.
Horus - is awesome now. Lot of ppls play on Horus... but you need to choose the side: Ignis, Alsius or Syrtis. Ignis majority, Syrtis defenders of Alsius, Alsius love whining all the time.
Don't go Raven. Why? Couse Horus the Best.

I suggest you play Horus-Alsius . Alsius faces population problems and we need more people,so a little help will be usefull :D

Realm populations aren't the same in every timezone. Ignis outnumbers Alsius and Syrtis greatly during their daily invasions. That is when Alsius and Syrtis really needs more players.
