I have just installed the 64-bit version after getting the 32-bit libraries.

Disabling compiz and enabling Gnome Compositing fixed this for me.. YMMV

You can use "Ubuntu Tweak" to toggle gnome compositing (asumming ubuntu/gnome is what we are talking about)

You can install fusion-icon and use it to switch it on-fly.

EDIT: I installed Fusion-icon and click on it, but I still get flickering. Did I install the wrong version of Fusion-icon?

I didn't have any problem with or without Compiz, Gnome, XFCE or KDE.
Sometimes the game crashes, but I have seen that is usual enough in net games.

I don't understand why is necessary "install" th 32 bit libraries.
Help me for understanding that, please. :)

I saw only the "64 bit" client downloadable.

without knowing your distrobution I will assume it is Debian based (ubuntu etc etc)

the 32bit libs package is: ia32-libs
installed via: apt-get install ia32-libs

they install to /usr/lib32

Yes, my distribution of GNU/Linux with which I play is an Ubuntu (I prefer Intrepid), as it is wrote in my signature. ;)
