Alsius Horus - Get your head out of your badonk-a-donk
 

I don't like starting threads like this one - but I gotta.

Alsius....what on God's green earth is going on? Trying to get people to fight is getting impossible again. I look in realm chat and I see players with high-level chars chatting away saying their looking to buy lvl 48+ crap.

......

All the while, there's fighting at trelle, aggs is under attack and banana heads are grinding for drops at OC cats.

Cmon guys.....have some realm pride and take back what's ours. Problem is, lots will say - ahh dont' go its an RP farm. Uh...it's an RP farm because not enough are coming....kind of a vicious circle ain't it.

The sad part, is if the dragon spawns the'll be 30 lvl 50's waiting for it...just so you can glitch it....

Anyway my rant is done....we need fighters Alsius....get into the game.

Amen, I have given up fighting at Agger 3 times in 2 days because there are often just not enough Alsius to make it a worthwhile fight,

As for the Dragon thing, yeah I see the same In syrtis, Herb is taken, we have no one to take it back with, someone shouts VESPER! The few people we are fighting with run to vesper so I decide what the hell may as well go to, we get to vesp within 10 mins with have about 30 people, once vesper dies I think well at least we have enough to take Herb back now, but Nope by the time Im back at Cs we have had a mass logout and are left with about 1/3 the ammount we had at Vesper.

Allright. Here's my view on the issue. I'll try and explain as best as I can, not being a native english speaker.

First of all. Yes, there are a few individual loudmouths on realm chat who never seem to bother to come and help with taking even our own forts back. However, and maybe that's due to the fact that they are loudmouths, please don't exaggerate their numbers.

On the other hand, if only one of our forts is taken, and the realm gate is nowhere near in danger (best example, syrtis has trelle :P), I can understand some people occasionally don't come to fight because they want to get some grinding done (in order to finally reach the magical lvl 50).

Note that I make a clear distiction between never showing up, and in some cases occasionally not showing up (best example, if you're on a grind setup that's useless in war, 10k tnl ...). People should still play this game to have fun. And have some freedom to choose how they wish to spend their, sometimes little, free time in the game.


Secondly, altough we are usually quite outnumbered. There's also an issue with tactics. To put it plainly, the lack of common sense, imho.

- Rushing to a zerg one by one.
- Fighting a zerg right AT the fort, instead of luring them out abit.
- Half of us shooting at Minamoto on the wall while the rest is pounding on door. (Don't bother, ieti or Vivien will heal his ass anyway xD)

I've tried shouting a bit, but I'm not really someone with much authority (nor do I wish to be tbh). So I usually get ignored about this.


As far as I have noticed. Most high level players in Alsius DO switch or show up to take our forts back. (Except for those forementioned loudmouths, which we can do without imho.) But its the idiot tactics, or complete lack of it, that makes people log off or ragequit, idle at save for a much needed smoke (guilty) or wait until the fort is left empty.

I have no authority either (outside of my own clan) and I try to provide tactics but alas most end up charging a fully occupied lvl 4 fort. This kinda goes along with the fact that Alsius needs to remove their heads for thier badonka-donk.

An example today at trelle. Two alsius locks terrord a single knight :(

Those of us who have played the game for a long time can explain tactics but it does little good if no one listens. However, they have a right not to listen and do whatever they want however they want to have fun.

I suppose the approach I should take is:

1) Not worry so much about the realm anymore
2) Just have fun with my clan

Outside of that I'm getting too irritated with lack of forethought from many and lack of participation in realm related things (like taking a fort back).

Tell you what though - if the dragon or thorkul spawned at trelle I bet the entire realm would come out of the wood-works.

Hey guy's, here's some secret intel from behind the Ignis Wall. Your tactics worked, everyone's bored of the warzone and don't bother logging on anymore. It's safe to go out there again.

all realms have that issue.

the biggest issue atm is the lack of war(in my timezone GMT +10 anyway) seriously a few months ago you could go out to the wz and find some war(either hunting or fort war) now your lucky to find 1-2 people in the wz and fort wars meh syrtis goes to meni now so they can take it while its empty. when we go take forts i notice the other sides army is mostly made up of < 37 players and they all backpedal back to the save(something i really hate). seriously what has happened to Horus's warzone.

Yesterday I logged in at about 10pm GMT and asked if there is some action.
The answer was no. I just wanted to log out but then I got the message "Fort Menirah under attack".

We got a few (10 ?) Ignis people ready for war and decided to meet a Meni Save. When I arrived I saw that the save was camped by about 30 gelfs. After beeing killed I just logged off.

It seems there is the same problem in Alsius and Ignis. Only Syrtis seem to have enough people to make war. At least at that time.

This happens more and more on Horus and I already thought about quitting to play Regnum. But maybe it gets better after Character Transfer next week.

Yes it has been quiet lately in wz :(

Ive been out of it recently(what with swine flu and college)when exactly do transfers take place?

Transfers are supposed to be ready sometime within the next week according to chilko.
