(mainly because it controls damage output and damage taken input)

I disagree, in Many vs Many gear isnt such a big thing in Ro. Maybe castspeed for locks but beside that its a pretty small factor. (Where it matters much is ofcourse in 1 on 1 fights)

I wouldnt overrate gear, especially not stuff you get out of boxes.
Theres games where you get like 50% less damage, 10x more dmg etc with gear where it doesnt matter what buttons u still succeed due to much better items eg. Thats not the case in RO.

Still id like totally even gear for all players from the fighting aspect - problem is, a MMO needs aims the players can head for and, without gear to grind for many players would lose interest pretty fast :)

1.- I suspect that ppl who disagree is because they have already ubergear :)

2.- There is no problem at all Enio. It is just a matter of changing some aspects of the game in a way that all the players have the POSSIBILITY to get uberweapons without having to pay cash. Look at other games -like Runescape, free version- where players have to work hard to get uberweapons/armour but without having to pay cash. There is no lose of interest in that case, on the contrary.

As it is now the unbalance of the gear is causing too much frustration because you get killed very easy from those players -sometimes even lower levels-armed with ubergear.

To NGD I would say: There are many other ways to get the necessary funds.

Thats a pretty poor assumption especially when you get arguments why someone disagrees. You could maybe elaborate and falsify them instead of lumping together.

TBH i see the most imbalance in the Gear you can (theoretically) obtain by killing world/realm bosses.

It would be nice if droprates for magical and epic items would be raised but well thats already been discussed alot and its all up to NGD.

1 vs 1 that is true, Group vs Group it has almost no impact. Gear doesnt have a stat called teamwork.

Too bad. I'd become friends with a bunch of uber weapons and maybe finally open the portal for alsius within the year xD Seriously alsius, we have to invade and open portal this year though lol

I really don't think gear makes much difference. I remember being lv 50 and having store bought items, and now where i have pretty good gear. Not much difference honestly. I even remember when i had like 13% attack speed total and a medium weapon equipped. Switching between the 13% and normal was no difference that i could feel. Also adding like a fire dmg plus 13 added practically no damage in total, so for me gear means not alot, it's how u play with it. Sure some armor gives u some more hp but in the end, especially in war lol, the 1 more hit to kill you won't make any difference.

I for one would prefer to fight someone with uber gear then someone with skill,thats for sure.The big problem is when someone who has skill,gets the uber gear,then were all fucked :p
