Why does NGD hate me so much?

Hello,

well, I am playing RO 2.5 years now. I managed to earn a lot of respect in this game by playing my warlock very well and also by trying a lot of strategies, which led our realm Ignis to victory when Syrtis used to be a huge zerg over one year ago on german servers. I could tell so many stories about all that. It was a great time. :-)

There is one thing, I never managed to archive in this game though:

Within 2.5 years of RO, I never got a drop from Tenax or any of the Superbosses, which got introduced later of course. Everyone else is getting those drops.

I don't like to cry here. All I want is to get an answer to this question:

NGD, why do you hate me so much? Tell me!!1! :-))

I guess I've earned the title: "most unlucky player in this game". Hehe

regards,
Anu

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I would say Warlock is the (second) least likely to get a boss drop. Only knights could possibly be worse at bosses, they can't use auras, and theyre damage isnt very good. The reason I say Warlocks are the worst is because mobs with a title (leader, champion, epic) seem to have an insane resist rate, but not a stunning evade rate. So naturally then your spells are resisted-->you dont benefit the group as much-->you dont get drop :/

This system is also why conjus are so good for bosses (mine dropped mace today! :D) because they do not suffer from evade or resist chances. They are using auras, thus helping tons of people at once, thus taking credit for damage done. At bosses there are so many people, the auras do so much, that conjus get insane amount of damage, and they get the drop.

Just my thoughts, and if this was triggered by me posting about my Daen mace im sorry :/

You don't need to be sorry, because it was not triggered by your post.

I kinda disagree with your points about warlocks at bosses. I use the following setup at bosses:

- Pylon 5
- Mana Communion 5 (Staff Mastery for Damage)
- Lazyness 5
- Vamp and Soulkeeper 5 (for survivals)

I liked to post this thread, because I got Dean's aggro today hitting him with 1.2k norms using exotic empanadas. I only survived thanks to the heals, pylons and lazyness. It was fun but then again, I've got nothing except loot. So I liked to post this more-likely-fun-thread. :-)

Guess if you kill it enough number of times you will get a drop oO conjus/barbs/marks seem to drop better.. just my opinion.

My first boss drop was on my warlock, when I wasn't even lvl 40 yet. It was from tenax, I just spammed bless and bless weapon, along with mana communion.

dont feel alone, they hate me too :)

Seriously though, I have tried on RA for the longest time, and I have tried on Horus enough times to make it hopeless to try.

Too many conjurers already, and all with the same auras, so technically all slots are always filled, so no downtime between auras with so many spamming and overlapping. cant go the bless route, since everyone there is multi blessed likewise.

So, the last option is don't bother going, which I think i should really listen to in the future.
The drops just go to someone who will hold forever, unless he gets the exact same drop but for different class, its a never ending cycle, for those who put their time and effort into helping ONE person get a drop, and he turns around and holds onto it indefinately, very rarely do they go to the people who could use them, its actually nice when someone even says thanks to the team who helped them, and even rarer for someone to give it to someone less fortunate. It has happened, but for the most part, its a wash.

so i think i share your status :) lol. I was still on ra when they added the superbosses, but I never dropped there either as my primary then was knight/hunter, i didnt really get into conj playing till I levelled one before leaving RA, then starting another on Horus, Since I thought the class would be more useful than a grinder killer..or a masochist with no dmg potential and recently nerfed auras.

So, nope never dropped here either, as Knight/Hunter/Conjurer

It's probably a conspiracy...

I never got a drop from Vesper, so i simply gived up going there. From Evendim got 2 times, but after ppl started to spam auras i rare get even XP. Here in Syrtis bossmob drops are usually get from same ppl...

I really do not care anymore.

The secret to success is not expecting anything (?). I got my drop at alasthor on my knight, with a debuffing setup. Amongst all those barbs my damage wasn't gonna make much difference, my debuffs apparently did.

The last time I participated in Tenaxs demise, I set up for Staff Mastery, and didn't even get XP. Far as I can tell, I just didn't do enough damage to be helpful in his/her death.

On an unrelated note; could we get an official to tell us if the dragons are male or female? Not like it matters, but it's been bugging me...
