What about to put Realm Chat Back to the whole map?

About the realm chat, well limiting it inside the realm wall has been the greatest fail for NGD, Sorry guys but that step makes look RO like an empty game. A day i went to rae to buy some stuff and a newbie Said in Syrtis chat : Oh well another shitty empty game... while i had 45 ppl on my list warring at forts... The most part of newbies leave because they can talk with nobody else beside other noobies inside wall... Maybe extending back the Realm Chat to the whole map and stop to pursue the possibility of oblige players to spend 80 ximerins on War banner could bring u much more cash from new "satisfied" players. I wish u wouldn't ignore my last words, because at first i noticed it like others did, i mean about newbies' istant quitting or Quarrels for "Disorganization" in game... you should understand that players waste money in game if they like it; if u keep smashing it with new pro-ximerins updates, u will have a reversed-effect. Nobody spends money anymore-> Nobody Buys war banners-> ppl cries for disorganization->ppl leave the game-> nomore money for You , Newbies quit even before join = The game Dies.

I agree good idea

How do you know the exact reason why new people leave the game? Just because you think that's what's happening doesn't mean it's the reality. I know for sure that there's always old players grinding alts inside, they're not forced to talk in realm chat though.

We got realm chat on Piranha and I can tell you it's useless in the war zone and only adds more confusion because people there... aren't really that bright, tbh. It's actually not rare to see someone talking in Ignis chat to people in the clan. What's bad about having it now is that later when they have to remove it it's going to be hard because of people like you who got used to it in the war zone and won't accept the change.

I'm all for "no" to this.

well,
At first, piranha is still a new server, few players and not so much to say considering that the most part are lvl 20 or newbies. U don't play on Horus anyway, so u can't talk either about what's going on that server, and i'm sure, u will think like me when u notice that nobody grinds a new alts, cause nobody spends anymore cash on the game, as i said, not satisfied players, no good profit.

About the spam, it's easy, just put a cooldown of few seconds on every message u send before talk again, i mean someone says "Goats at trelle!" , he shouldn't be able to talk again for minum 10 seconds to avoid the spam, and u can ever add a properly war chat available in warzone like commerce one inside wall, but keeping the syrtis chat alive in both sides with a chat-again cooldown. More Organization, More help for newbies, new players lvling in a "full game" , nomore waste of war banners but alot of money from boosters, mounts, scrolls and customizations. Like I said just put a cooldown of few secs and ppl will talk just for "real" necessity and not for spam. Really mate the syrtis chat killing, at the same time killed tons of new incoming players, and remember that after the WM update, ppl is lvling their old lvl 50ish to 60 and not 0 to 60, or at least scrolling them to 45 and grind in warzone. If a new guy starts to play, he needs help, needs hints, needs someone to talk with, how would u feel joining in a party-room where there are 2 ppl while the real party is in the closer room? would u like to drink something? i guess not. It is a stupid example but i guess clearly understandable.

When your Realm chat, which new players are very likely to think means everyone in your realm (why wouldn't they?) is dead, it makes your game look dead.

People in the warzone can learn not to rely on realm chat for information. But new players who just talk to themselves in realm chat will often never get as far as the warzone.

Even if its just full of spam random convos and misleading information, at least it gives new players the ability to see that there are other long term high level players around. Ironskins example is a good one, the cut of realm chat from the warzone divides newbies from the experienced players who's help they may need, as well as a feeling of activity in game.

Agree something needs to be done to make horus appear active to new players and to help with organization, dont agree with the re-introduction of realm chat as it was though. Realm chat was of little use for organizing battles or to low levels asking for help as important messages where frequently lost or ignored in the general chat.

Made a suggestion a while ago to have a channel viewable by all but writing restricted to (for instance) clan or party leaders or as a warmaster skill (WM skill got a lot of objections). Also think the carrier pigeon hunter skill suggested a while back was a good idea.

One problem with any of this is it would effect war banner sales.

This one is a tough call. Normally I would say no but the recent struggle that Horus is seeing might warrant a temporary return of realm chat.

Tough, tough call this one.

Maybe make it read-only in the warzone?
This way more experienced players could choose to pm new players to give them advice if they feel like.

Or like some other games to put the " level Limit" to talk in chat, like lvl 30 or 45 so only pro players talk, and lesser spam

btw make a poll about this?

I don't think players in warzone should be able to use it for communication with each other.
It creates a number of problems that the removal of the warzone chat solved.
  • Makes regrouping more important.
  • Makes clans more important:
Before, when the warzone chat was still around, you could log on and say "hi" in clan chat without getting any reply.
When switching over to the realm char you found several of your clan mates chatting there instead.
  • Makes hunting funnier:
With a warzone chat hunting solo or in small groups becomes nearly impossible, due to hunters reporting on your every step in realm chat.
You won't find anyone for 30 minutes, then suddenly you get jumped by a pack of 10 people out of nowhere.
Therefore, I would vote against reintroducing warzone chat if it means that players in warzone can use it for communication.
