Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Adieu, Adios, Ciao, Pożegnanie
 

This isn't a plea for attention. This isn't me saying I've reached rank 12 and retiring, yadda yadda. This is just me telling my friends why I won't be on, at least for a while. I've been thrown a bunch of cash to build some HTML5 games and that's just what I'm going to do. Because I like cash.. cash is fun. Unfortunately I haven't had time to play any more. I thought I could do both, but I didn't realise how time consuming RO really was.
I'd love to say it was fun watching Regnum grow, but I think the only major change since playing was new clothing. Still, no matter how much we complain it has something that keeps drawing us back again. For 90% of us that's probably just the fact it's the only native Linux MMO out there. If that ever changes, then, well.. NGD are in for a surprise.
Any way, I may be back, but it's doubtful. I just turned 30, and decided it was time to move on and start working on some projects in my own time for the money. I'll be back soon though to pawn/give away all of my gear.

i dont think there is a pvp mmo like Regnum even amongst non-linux mmos.

and it's working as intended if you find you want to depart the game for a while. just don't delete or give away your gear, because 100% guaranteed you will come back in 1-2+ years time to play again. that is also intended. the gameis that unique.

personally i doubt there will be another linux or other mmo like Regnum. getting the combat balance and feel the same is no longer possible for new mmos. the coding specialisation and engines are completely different now.
