I, myself, am VERY guilty of this, but I think people are looking back with fond memories, but are forgetting what a pile of crap RO was pre 1.0

Don't get me wrong, the game was incredibly fun, you could play for hours without getting bored, the community was awesome etc. etc.

BUT.

The graphics were bad (though not a deal breaker,) the game was unbalanced (4k SC's anyone?) there were graphical faults, memory leaks.. Good god the memory leaks. Each update made the game literally FUBAR for a few hours, the game would be unplayable... But. People would shrug off these problems and enjoy the game anyway.

So, a Pre-1.0 server is a nice idea, and I'm sure it would be fun... But I'm not sure people would want an EXACT replica.

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea really. I have many, many, many fond memories from that time, but apart from it being very unfeasable for NGD, it would also fracture the community between ANOTHER server, which is something I'm sure none of us really want.

Pre-1.0 was a very special time, but every dog has its day.
