I found a comprehensive guide to playing the Marksman class on a private forum and I felt I should share it in this thread. Please note I did not write this but feel free to leave some appreciation for the author of it.

To start off, I would urge all players interested in mastering the marksman class to chose Syrtis as their realm for obvious reasons. Also one way to bypass the advise given in this guide is to acquire your respective realms boss jewellery (dragon amulet or thorkul/dean rha/evendim rings) as if you are in possession of these items, you are no longer required to know what you are doing and would be considered 'leet' no matter what you do.

In order to be the best, you need to have alot of RP and this guide will teach you how to procure the most RP as fast as possible using your specialized skills as a marksman.

First and foremost, you will need to equip a 35 meter bow. With this weapon, no other class will be able to reach you aside for maybe hunters but they just tickle you anyway. Make sure you invest 5 points into the Foresight passive and Parabolic shot. Never ever allow an enemy closer to you than 35 meters. This is detrimental to your survival. If an enemy finds an obstacle such as a tree or rock, wait for him to move from a safe distance.

Make sure you are never ever alone and have at least 20 or more allies with you. Preferably all archers and barbarians and a couple of conjurers. If you do find that the enemies has at least half the manpower your group has, get a warmaster in your group to make a portal so you can safely go back home.

Your group should be heading to Aggersborg Fort in the Alsius warzone because thats where all the easy RP is located. Once your barbarians have broken the door and captured the fort, encourage one of your mages to make it level 4 to reassure your farm lasts long enough for you to gain the RP your require to be the best.

As a marksman, make sure you are at the back of your group at all times as you have the most range therefore you need not put yourself at risk of getting hit. If an enemy so much as looks at you, immediately low profile and run into the fort as soon as possible. If the enemy has managed to make its way to the base of the fort, stand on the wall and shoot enemies from the top where the warriors are unable to reach you. Again if you feel an enemy is looking at you, Low Profile and run to safety.

Always attack an the enemy with the lowest HP. This way you are guaranteed to gain RP from him. If you are unable to find such a target, attack the lowest level mage in the enemies group while maintaining your position at the back of your group.

If for some reason the opposing realm manages to get the door to half its HP, urge one of your warmasters to create a portal to get you to safety. If they are unable to do so, jump out of the back of the fort before the door goes down so that nobody see's you and run more or less 50m away from the fort, then get onto your mount and ride in the opposite direction. Hunters are still able to track you but at least if you are on your mount they wont be able to catch you.

Make sure Winter Stoke is always on cooldown. If your group is chasing a fleeing enemy, cast Winter Stroke on him and wait for your barbarians to kill him.

This concludes my guide to playing the marksman class as there is not much else to this class. I'm looking forward to seeing all you new and old marksman at Aggersborg Fort gaining those valuable RP's. I'm sure you found my guide helpful. Thank you for reading.
