Klutu you know that is issue isn't as simple as that. Timezones have a huge effect on the populations of each realm. As an example all most every day I wake up Herbred is hold by ignis. They rather commonly have 2-3 times the high lvls we have online in that single fort. (I try to have every 45+ character on my friendlist.)

I agree that in general syrtis seems to be the most populated. So if blockage could take timezones to evaluation, I could favour the suggestion. Surely not all who are from the same time zone play at the same times of day, but it would probably help a bit with the time zone imbalances. So in the current state of horus that would probably mean that europeans couldn't join syrtis and maybe americans couldn't join ignis. (Don't know just guessing.)

However my suggestion to solve realm imbalances wouldn't be limiting new players choice, but offering others the choice of change. I mean a realm change scroll. Using it would transfer your chars to an other realm. Naturally you should be only able to change to the most unpopulated realm. (Again perhaps taking timezones into account)

Problems with this are the races, realm specific items and names too. I'd let the chars keep their items, after all this would just lessen the imbalance between realm items or then change them to corresponding items of the other realm. You should probably be allowed to create your char again by choosing new appearance, race, attributes and name. All though personally I wouldn't mind seeing elves fight along side dwarves, but to keep the realms unique that wouldn't probably be the best idea.

This scroll could and probably should be premium to give the devs and incentive to make it and to limit it's use. (Free for all could lead to a rather messy situation.) I'd hope this scroll would help others to make the noble decision you and some others have made. (Changing to an underdog realm with the motive of helping them and giving up 50lvl chars in another realm.) As I believe that many would like to see more balanced realms and would be willing to make the change, if it didn't mean grinding yet another character and giving up those that they've put lot of effort into.

So shortly I agree that the population needs to be distributed more evenly to all 3 realms, but instead of forcing new users I'd try couraging the old ones.
