I think I did something like this ages ago in one of the realm number inbalance threads (flamewars) although it does give a rough Idea I think at then end you need to take into account that throughout all timezones each realm has maybe 1 or 2 hundred active players, so the numbers produced by this method although showing a sort of trend (we all know syrtis tends to have the highest with alsius and ignis swaping every few months) the numbers are just to large to be reliable
And thats without looking into levels, timezones, alts, banks, inactives... To get a real idea we need something off NGD listing for example how many accounts (not chars!) gained more than 300~ Rp on a char in the last week.
