English player consolidation on RA

I think we remaining english speaking RA players who are not leaving the server and who are spread thin throughout many small clans need to seriously consider consolidating into a few english speaking "super clans."

This is critical due to 2 factors.

1) We will be getting no more english speaking players on RA(or at best very few), so banding together will help to preserve the community.

2) The removal of realm chat makes clan communications far, far more important. Therefore a huge english speaking clan could substitute for the realm chat channel we just lost if it's so vast that there are players from the clan that are almost everywhere at any given time.

Order of Daggers will consider merger offers, either as the parent guild or to be absorbed. We have (IIRC) 8 active english speaking lvl 50 players, and a few more lower lvl players in the pipelines.

some clans function diferent and ill try to suport those that are living.

what im doing is trying to get holas and howdy clans to make inter clan partys, and then make bilingual inter clan partys.

now if u are a clan fondurer i would suggest keeping ur clan strong in a server or both if not disbanding....my point is if the fondurer isnt active members dont have to be slaves anymore to being trapped in a clan and this desision should be done as a clan.

val i suport u in this, some clans now have no reason to live and should join while others should hang in there....im not forsing im just saying joining or alliaces are best suggestion.

I really have no interest in a mixed language clan. I would move to the new server in a second if their were migrations. This is about us english speakers sticking together. Because our numbers are going to gradually start dwindling.

It will be interesting to see if there is even an english community left on RA in one year from now. I think if there is, it will be... very small ...indeed.

It would also be EXTREMELY useful at the tactical level to have all the english players on one clan chat channel. I have heard that TWC and Ironfist have had some merger discussions, and i've had minor discussions with Albereth of IF with it in the past as well. I think now is the time for us to discuss the possible creation of an english speaking juggernaut.

This thread is solely about negotiations for the mergers of English speaking clans in syrtis, one of which i lead.

the thing is val...some of these are comunity clans, i think it would be nice to target players firtst.

i think the english comunity needs a bigger shirking to be 1 big clan, 3 is good dought in my opinion 3 main english clans now is a good idea.

let them die out first and speak to fondurers about this,

another thing, 1 fondurer for the main clan isnt a good idea in my opinion there should be a english fondurer acount that all highranks have acces to until clan controls are better.

I don't want to be in a clan with every english speaker in it. I like our Order with everyone speaking an understandable english with no abbrevation, a strong leadership and few but good players. Of course I would like more active players in it but I'm not ready yet for a huge merging. Of course it's your clan and I'll adapt to anything you do

I'm hoping NGD implements my suggestion of clan alliances that way we won't have to merge or dissolve clans. I'm thinking that in a year, Ra will also have a very small English population. I hope we are both wrong.

Val, I strongly agree with your decision on this matter.

Remember, I have been playing this game off and on for about two years, and when me and slim(my best friend, and I think best marskmen that used to play this game) first started out we were one of the few english speakers. Yes this was discouraging, but it wasn't so bad. I learned what I needed to in spanish, and was apart of some great spanish clans for awhile.

Saying all this.... I really really got discouraged at times when I first joined the game, and read mostly all spanish. I got used to it, but that was because I had to. It was a part of life in Regnum Online before we got all of these different language servers that I really don't like. I in fact have not even checked in on the new server yet, and to be honest I never will because I don't like the fact that I have to level all of my characters again. I hear some members of the Inquistion are already moving to the new server. I do agree that we will see a dwindling down of numbers, but that is just something us english speakers are going to have to get used to.

In final, we are going to have to ban together if there is going to be some sort of ordinance. I say that the remaining english clans setup a voice chat channel, so that we can do better in hunts and fort wars. I am here to do what I can to help.

I agree that merging clans can be a really good thing to do. I think it will be needed in the end. However, I don't think that we need to join all clans into one. However, maintaining the current small clans is undoable.
The Inquisition is still waiting for the return of its leader, so we won't decide soon.

I agree with refe, merging clans isn't needed, a voice chat is better, xfire is a good candidate, then you can all chat together, online and offline and have a voicechat

At this point the TWC will continue to function. But as one of our main reasons for existance (finding and training new English speakers) has been removed, we are experiancing a bit of an identity crisis.

Over time we will see how Horus affects us individually and as a clan, then make decisions. A few of us have moved over to Horus, but fatigue has not set in yet for the majority of the Horus players yet. When it does that will change things as well.

So, in short, I'm not prepared to make a decision to dissolve TWC. Individual members are free to make thier own decsions.
