My E-mail to NGD about the disappearance of my magnanites

To whom it may concern,

Everyday for the past year i have been grinding, making gold, and spending that gold on magnanites.The entire realm of Alsius is witness to that claim. Yesterday (February, 6th) I had precisely 6 ingots and 100 magnanites between all my characters. I decided to sell my alasthor archer helmet to Sparta Epic for 3 ingots. After that sale, I seeked Rhanya's help to collect all my magnanite on my warlock (see attached pictures) After the transfer I had 9 ingots and 100 magnanites. A few hours later, I log in and i see the 9 ingots have disappeared.

WOW you are doing a superb job! some idiot is duplicating magnanite and you decide to remove all magnanites in the game? Is that what NGD sees as a "professional" solution to the problem? When Dky Sven told me NGD is checking the logs, I was relieved, because I knew there was nothing wrong about my trades. And now I have lost my best item (alasthor archer helmet)
and all my magnanites which I had been working so hard for. I do not see why I should play your game anymore, maybe tomorrow you decide to lower my level 20 notches? I blew 25 US dollares and 2 years worth of playtime to get where I amin the game. Are you taking all that away from me?

I do appreciate that NGD adressed the issue... but mass banning your own customers with an automated script is just... wtf? Check the logs *first*, and ban after - and at least give the accused "cheaters" some chance to explain themselves before you whack the ban hammer!

I know several players who got banned for this, who I know for sure did nothing wrong, only got themselves involved in magna trades which they had no idea (and could not possibly suspect) were "tainted" magna.
All have paid $$ to build their chars, some have decided to quit already, some are still considering... And for good reason!

If players do not make some noise over this then we are giving NGD the green light to do anything they want - I do not remember anything from the "Terms of agreement" that allows NGD to remove my items (some of which i may have paid for in real money.

As I am typing this, players are banned in Alsius, people who have in some cases paid in excess of 50 euros for their characters - and now they are banned FOR NO REASON. NOTHING. NADA. They traded items/gold for magnanite that one individual was duplicating. And now they are being punished for "not knowing". Fair? Oh yes of course ... VERY FAIR

it sucks you got banned for someone else's actions

take a look from NGD's perspective though they cant assume you are not the person you traded with also rolling back trades might not work since there could've been multiple trades between multiple people items traded again etc it would be a mess for NGD to revert all of that and people who didn't receive duped magna but got your items for other items may not be happy.

also someone made a comment a few days ago thinking its weird how many alsius had magna weapons now we know why they had them.

the ban must happen but im sure they will lift the ban once you appeal. also wtf a dragon helm worth 3 ignots(atleast on horus/ignis each single magna is worth 10k that's alot)? anyone wanna buy mine for that :P(im joking i like the mana boost on my marks that the helm gives)

They didnt delete ALL the magna just the magna of those who got the duped stuff. I mean I know it isnt fair that they took all of your mags
but atleast NDG is doing something about it, sure, it sucks, you got scammed, and banned (?) but its a bloody game, plus there was a post about not taking deals that are to good to be true. Alot of people have been hit by this, and it sucks, it honestly does, some were honest about it and some weren't

But the bottom line, you had duplicated mag, so it was bound to happen

bans for everyone involved imho was totally unnecessary. voiding weps/magnanites and reverting trades - yes, totally fair. baning people for fair trade done 2 days before community is warned, without reading any logs to make sure that there was ill-intention - kinda lame.

edit: the nicalms post was way too late. by that time, magnahype was alreadyat large. i had it worse - paradosa got banned because she bought stuff on my behalf, just when it started. no warning, nothing.
