Lag in towns still?

Hey, I used to play this game...alot.
I quit though when the lag in towns started to become unbearable. Is it still like this? Oh yeah..haha. The new character models look pretty sweet, but do they raise the sys reqs very much? The computer I'm on right now isn't the best. I'm trying to get back into computer games. My comp can play that free fps called "Crossfire" lag free, but that's the extent of its abilities.

Lag in cities is gone. That's something really nice that NGD did.

Computer requirements have been lowered with the new engine/new models patching. I now play with higher settings than before with better FPS. If you haven't logged in some time, you really should give a try to the new Regnum Online. It's awesome.

Sooo...Is there a way I can download the game faster? When i started it was at 300 kbps, acceptable, now it's capped at 122, with two hours to go. Not my internet, I have 15mbps with Comcast.

Edit: lol I guess since I don't wanna start a new topic either, what realm should I go for? I used to be in the...Snowy one. Maybe someone remembers me? Affected?

Prolly not, seeing as I last logged into the game...god knows how long ago.

My general advice is to download Regnum Online using Bittorrent. However, if you are a Comcast subscriber, maybe you just can't use Bittorrent and will have to wait.

About Graphical detail: I used to play in "safe mode", all at minimum. Now I play in Shader Model 4 with all maximun (except antialising), so you may want to experiment with that.

I play in the snowy Alsius realm. I will just say that without this nice and cool people, I would have abandoned this game long time ago. Syrtis is said to be a zerg realm with huge arguments in realm chat. I don't know much about Ignis people, but they make an incredibly organized army.

Heh. My gfx card on this computer is an SiS760... Shaders...prolly a no-go. We'll see in..an hour and 38 minutes eh? Syrtis was not my favorite. (the grassy one?) There was one person...its was like the most well known and least respected person in the game, she blocked me or something, and got everyone else to hate me too..... And i remember having a while in Ignis, smurv paid me money to delete my account there. lol. My name was Smurf, and ignis kept confusing us

I have vuze right now, but where's this elusive link to the torrent download?

SiS760 is an 2003 onboard gfx card capable of Shader Model 1. That's better than Fixed Pipeline.

Thanks both of yeh for the link. Shader model 1..good. Fixed pipeline is...? Quick google search got me nothing, as did sis760 benchmarks, so where are you getting this information from? ;-)

I think I could have a good guess at who you mean :P If it starts with V dont worry, that person isnt around anymore, we have a whole new generation of annoying people instead

Good luck getting in game at a playable level, and whichever realm you choose you can find at least a few clans without any trolls
