Alsius staves/bows (lvl 50)

OK... getting ready to hit L50 with my mark, it is currently L48, and getting there.

OK, lock is 48, mark is 30. Now, for bows... my mark is going to want a good slow 30. At what level do you lucky box for those? 47 or 48? I have heard conflicting comments...

And, as for staves... a good medium 30 for the mage. After all, for a lock, so many things are range 0. Can you get a medium 30 at level 50? Or should that be targeted sooner?

The highest level medium 30s are the dragon's eye staffs, which are available at 50. For the bow, well, anywhere from 45 - 47 should be fine. IIRC the best storebought 30/slow bows available are at around 46 or so. Lucky boxes, from what I've heard, are probably not the best way to get gear though. If NGD was lazy and just made every bonus have the same chance of appearing on the weapons, there's a ton of useless stats you could end up having, like dex on a staff or str on a bow.

for the lock to be honest unless you intend to use staff mastery any medium speed range 30 staff will do as the base damage sucks on all of them.

i dont know about staffs but for for a medium range 30 bow you gona need to use a platinum box at lvl47. I did this and got a dragon wings long bow first try so best of luck to you.

i think a composite dragon wings longbow is the best slow range30 you get which is lvl48. good luck, platinum boxes can be a bitch at times

Hmm, these are the levels at wich you have the most chance of getting that particular kind of item. Bear in mind that other items can still 'come out of the box'. Like short bows, slow 25 long bows, etc etc.

Med 30 bows:
lvl 41 or 45 for the master med 30, lvl 43 or 47 for the dragon wings med 30. Don't know about the elven ones.

Slow 30 bows:
lvl 44 or 48 for the comp dragon wings slow 30. There is a lower lvl too (projection?) which can, with the right bonusus, be decent at high level.

Med 30 staves:
Hard to say since you'll most likely want cast speed on them. I think Master staves are 38,39,42. Dragon eye's are 43 and 47 (same analogy as dragon wings bows).

Slow 30 staves:
Apoc staves, are 44 or 48. Again, analogy with the comp dragon wings long bow.


Afaik anyway. I wish you all the luck in the world with the unlucky boxes, you're gonna need a shitload of it.

If you get a Composite master long bow (lv41) with a magic damage bonus and put a gem in it, you'll out-DPS all the storebought bows even the lv48 Slow/30 ones. This has to do with the fact that the base damage of the bows is piercing which is readily absorbed by armors, and the fact that the range 30 bows are not lv50 and only extremely rarely drop from mobs or lucky boxes with any bonus.

I've personally tested this theory and found that even with a weak bonus (e.g 18 fire + 5 fire from a gem) the composite master not only out-DPSes, but also out-damages all storebought bows even those from warzone merchants.

Your best second option is to buy good quality dragonwings long bow, slot it and put a +15 gem in it.

For quick levelling, you'll want to equip the damage rings and amulets from your realm. In Syrtis, this is the Stone token (dropped from Avalon) and the two Deadly sight rings, which I use with combined blunt/slash arrows. In Alsius, this is of course the rings of the Blacksmith and I forget which amulet they have. In Ignis, they also have the rings of the Blacksmith, or the Rings of Lighting after lv39 (especially you are lucky enough to get two), but I think the only amulet they have for damage is a crappy +4 fire one.

And most importantly, DO NOT USE PIERCING ARROWS.

Marksman is all about DPS now rather than direct damage per hit. This is mainly due to nerfs to dexterity's contribution to damage and the low difference in damage between slow and medium bows, combined with the rarity of special slow bows.

Ignis' best damage amu is from lvl 3, and its +2 fire

And yes, in Ignis make sure you get 2 RoL's

Why is everyone talking like you have to purchase lucky item boxes in order to get these high end weapons? Don't they drop normally off of mobs as well?

These items are rare even from a lucky box, much less mobs. I don't know why, they just are.
