more servers

ok im interested how the engine handles more servers.

right now its getting totaly annoying to play when there are 280+ users online. So u have to add some more servers at one point (not too far in the future).

how will it behave?
will the server be linked to the existing one or will it be an own world like experimental?

i think separated worlds would suck, while one big world would mean that many players fight on the existing one, which will get too small very soon.

maybe someone frm NGD could tell us how it is planned

We are not planning to add more worlds with an amount of users less than 800. What we'll continue to do is optimize and get better hardware.

After we have reached around 800-1000 (maybe more, it depends on the optimization results), we'll open a new world, and so on.

Cool a new world, but this brings up another question.

Have you already completed developing everything to open a new world with new races and realms i presume, or are you currently developing these?

Just a bit curious about how the progress of this great game is going?

Niclam ¿porque dices "un nuevo mundo" en vez de un nuevo servidor? ¿tienen planeado que un nuevo servidor tenga un territorio totalmente distinto al actual?

thunder il try say it a way u can understand. lot of times in the weekend the the game gets like 350 players and how the game goin is only goin to keep growing. only problem im wondering wen the new worlds are added are they goin to be the same character for dif worlds or u goin to be only able to use him in one cuz i know games only let u use one world

Fijate que antes hubo alguien que pregunto si ese "new world" tendria: new races and realms; por eso mi duda... i'm worried about the posibillity of new servers with different content ...

RO need to have more biggest maps but in all the servers that NGD will open, not different about content in every new server, u know same things in all.

nah thunder they wont do that everything would be the same thats for sure. a new world would mean more room and stuff but i dont think we need a 4 realm to be honest is already hard fighting 2 realms at ones

open a new world means, server #1 and #2 have the same map.
also there is ignis/syrtis/alsius but diffrent players.

so when server #1 is full and u open #2 then new ppl cant join #1?
both server exist isolated from each other?

They might create the 2nd server with a bigger world that can hold everybody, and everyone gets moved over to there.
