Default Doubt about marksman and hunter

Can anybody tell me what's the difference, nowadays, between this two "subclasses"??

I left the game like one year ago, even more, well... In that time the marksman was a "normal attack damage" subclass with some powerful skills and the hunter subclass was a pet-depending archer, with some special skills for slowing the target (and some others) and making some short range damage, but now i see 2 "subclasses" that are basically the same thing with some hunters hitting even more than marksman with their normal and skill attacks, without pet and with a marksman range.

If i'm wrong please tell me what's the real difference between this 2 archers.

(Btw, i rejoined the game like 4 days ago)

Hunters can run like bitches because of built in speed, marksman can run like bitches because all they do is spam winter stroke

what ichi said

also.. marksman will shoot at you from 50 range doing high damage
hunters will shoot at you from 20 range doing shamefull damage unless they got bling bling (boss jewelry)

so if you can see the archer shooting at you, that means you're being killed by a hunter

Marksman rely on range and powerful hits, making them better suited for fort wars. They also have more crowd control techniques allowing them to keep would-be attackers at bay.
Hunters rely on their prowess and tricks to kill their foes. Being able to go invisible, track your enemies and get that first stun is advantageous. Upon ambushing an opponent they are able to get a few quick shots in with cold blood before confusing their enemie to stop them from using protective buffs, making the rest of the kill slightly easier. They have a high damage spell that slows enemies with a short cool down which is really helpful. While they can be useful in war with their tricks and debuffs, they accelerate more hunting alone, finding stragglers and catching them unawares.
You should note that marksmen hit significantly higher as with each dexterity point, it doubles their attack damage output, whereas hunters is only around 1.5 or so.

Red face

what ichi said

One thing I've noticed, in solo pvp at least, is that in most typical fights a non-boss-geared hunter really needs high wild spirit & mobility along with his ensnaring arrow to win, whereas a marks usually does not need boosted move (tho it can help at times I suppose), because very few can ever get that close....
