[EVENT] - Halloween 2014 COMING UP!!!

Afraid of the current strange diseases that affect the world and will probably kill us all (according to sensationalist news stations)?
Well do something about it! The Purple Fever threat is back and with the full intention to end all life in the world of Regnum.

No matter what your race, gender (even if you’re a guy playing a female character), or realm may be, you may also get infected during this year’s Halloween Event, starting on October 30th at 6 PM GMT!

This year’s Event will be based on a series of waves of infectious purple spiders that will spread the disease all over the world.

Each Spider Wave will be spawned as indicated in the in-game’s Purple Fever Event’s interface:

You can also minimize, enable transparency or move this little gadget around as you please!

As you can see, you’ll have the following info:

Infection progress: This illustrates the amount of people in your realm that’s currently infected. WATCH THIS VERY CLOSELY, as if it reaches 100%, your Realm Door will become vulnerable to enemy attacks until the infection is controlled (which means it’s reduced to less than 100%).

Spiders!: This number basically indicates the amount of spiders that are currently spawned inside your Realm’s middle zone. In each wave, 300 of these 8-legged disease-carrying bugs are spawned. As you and your allies eliminate them, the number on the left will decrease!
Keep in mind that during the first 60 seconds of each wave, spiders will continue to spawn but will never go over 300!

Next Spiders Wave In: Simple as it sounds. This shows how much time’s left for the next Spider Wave to pop up. Keep in mind that after this timer reaches zero, the prize indicated* will be given and a small cooldown will begin where NO spiders spawn.
Once this new timer reaches zero again, other 300 spiders will show up!

Wave Winner: Now this is something extra and totally new. During each Spider Wave, this little part of the interface will constantly keep monitoring which user in your Realm has killed more spiders than anybody else. The user that wastes more Spiders during the current Spider Wave will win the indicated prize!

• You may be wondering “ok I got you, but how do I control the infection?”:

All you need to do is complete the quest that a Templar located in your Realm Wall will be giving.
This guy will give you a series of simple tasks that once completed, will grant you with a potion that’ll allow you to cure your allies from the disease during 5 minutes after equipping the potion (while making you invulnerable to the disease, so you don’t get infected while healing people!)
This also goes along with a quest located in your Main City, which will grant you a potion that'll allow you to heal yourself! But beware, this potion works exclusively while you're completing the quest, and it only has 3 uses, no matter how many times you cancel or repeat the mission

• Are there any free goodies I might get by just running around and not care about the event at all?

Well actually yes! You’ll find Magic Cauldrons and Big Pumpkins scattered around the world that’ll give you freebies when you interact with them!

• Sweet! And how about Premium stuff? I WANT SOME DAMN HATS!

You’ll also find out in the Item Mall that Pumpkin Hats are on sale, as well as Transmutation Elixirs!

With them you’ll be able to transform into a furry (but ferocious) Werewolf, an evil Skeleton that runs and moves around in a funny way, or a Zombie that for some reason carries a broom in his hand!

All these items will ONLY be available during this event, which ends on Monday, November 3th at 9am GMT!

Unless its a participation thing in which case conjs are just as screwed as before.

Spiders are low level. Your staff auto-attacks should do the trick. I mean, I often kill lvl 30 or so mobs (why? I don't know ) and it's super easy even without any offensive powers, if you're lvl 50+.

i'll be doing it on knarb anyway, was kinda hoping for 300 level 60+ spidders for a zerg to take down with some effort instead of pew pew jewelled marks 2 shotting everything from 236346 meters away.
