Regarding Points other than XP
Greetings fellow players !
I have questions regarding the tabulation and use of points in Regnum. It is easy to see what the XP(Experience Points) are used for Leveling, and they are kept track of in the Chacater Attribute Window. In the same window are the "Stats", Strength, Dexterity, Health, etc. Below the stat's are other tabulations, (???)Stats, that show as zero's. Are these (???)Stats calculated and just not being shown? or, are they yet to be implemented in the game. Another tabulation is (RP)Realm Points, which you see accumulating in the "System Window", which is above the Chat windows. (You lose the contents of the "System Window" when you log out), and RP is not tabulated in the "Character Attribute" window. So there is no way for a player to know his/her total RP. Only the Server Database keeps track of the totals. Some other point tabulations that show up in the "System Window", are : (CHG)"Challenge Points", and (GRP)"Group Points". It's easy to see how we get these points, during battles with (mobs)"Mobile Objects" commonly referred to as monsters. What isn't clear is, are the tabulations for these points kept in the Server DB? If so what will they be used for? Are they used to calculate some of the (???)Points? Oh, i almost forget (GP) Galiator Points, from fighting at the arena, but they are not listed in the Character Attributes window either. **( following should be in Suggestions Forum, but are too closely linked not to be mentioned here, and readers should make the fact known in that forum if they agree)** It seems like it would be important, since the game has been coded to register these points in the System Window, to have them tabulated in the Character Attribute Window, so the user, can see where they stand. I was under the impression that the (+CHG) and (+GRP) were experience bonuses.

Hey Kiirani;
That's the kind of info I am looking for, but, how did you get that impression? Can anyone else confirm that his impression is, in fact correct ? Celtus |

CHG is Courage EXP which is a bomus for killing a mob stronger then you, GRP is Group EXP which you get for how many ppl and how much contribution you all make to the kill, each mob type has a different cap on how much of this bonus you get. Keep in mind tho that you get less regular exp in a group kill, but ou do kill it faster and you do get the bonus exp. If you manage to do 10% contribution on a very strong mob way way out of your Lv range you can get allot more courage then f you where to get a party together to kill impossible lv mobs that your group at your lv can kill.
I learned this as a conju @ Lv22 helping a clammate that eas Lv35 kill mobs that where challenging to himself, I was getting nearly as mch courage if not more then the regular exp I was getting. Reguardless of this tho all 3 types of EXP are all added to your EXP lv bar, so having lots of courage exp doesn't really mean anything other then you like to fight stronger mobs that are harder to kill, but give a bit more exp. RP has no value, there are sevral lamers in the top ranks for RP, that spawn and gate camp or just go into fort wars and cast useless buffs on ppl to steal rp, tho this has subsided since the 10%/2% rules where put into place to keep the low lv players out of the warzone till they're ready the legit way. Bt all that doesn't change the fact that RP is still useless for anything then saying e=P3|\|0®z +1 for every point you make. I don't care about RP because of it's lack of value, but that doesn't mean I'll shy away from a fight if I'm skilled for and in the mood for that sort of thing.

Anyway, I can't see having a group bonus of some other kind of point encouraging people to party... Same with the challenge. The whole reason it's profitable to fight in a large party is that the challenge and group bonuses you get surpass the amount of experience you could get solo in the same time frame. (Of course, the fact that they don't is why I don't party..) |

You have yet to have a competent party I take it? The good parties come once you have a competent conju at Lv21 or higher, with a good conju you should never again have to rest, you'll be able to kill endlessly. My Lving set as conju is made for this, I never run out of MP so I can just cast heals and buffs on the party that doesn't need to even wear armors. I've had many a party where we where able to go around 3+ hours before we had to stop and sell our dropps, but we killed the whole time getting there.

How did you get level 43 so fast without knowing that? O_o
Yes, CHG (meaning Challenge) and GRP (for Group) are experience bonuses. Just add them up (and it's not hard to check, just look at the experience you gained after killing a mob). I figured that out at level 5 . Rps (realm points) is totally another ranking when you kill or contribute to killing enemy realm players. There is no way to know your score unless you are ranked on the official website (in the War Status category). |
