"Connection to autopatch server failed" error

I have successfully downloaded and installed the game, but I can´t login. I type my username and password, set the server to Official and click LOGIN. Then it works for about 15 sec. and always gives me this "Connection to autopatch server failed" error message afterwards.
What shall i do?

check your firewall. That's all I can say for now.

I already did that. I have an exception for Regnum in my firewall, but to make sure I turned it off completely and it did not help.

can you ping the autopatch server? (check list of known problem thread)
