translate other language (by players)?
Greeting
In the game Regnum Online are plenty people from czech and slovak playing community and expecting further interested players. This is reason, that we would ask you (in fact that, that not everyone in our countries learn english or spanish), if we could translate game at least partially to our language (czech and slovak are related languages). Especially we are interested about translating registration, client settings and basic description of classes (occupations). With time, if you'll give us access to your texts in english, we would translate quests, which players didn't have to fulfill just by "exclamation mark" above a head and searching a key character somewhere in a map. Sincerely thankful Wolfe, Elidor, Galin |

1 spanish 2 non-spanish (en, de, us etc..) more then 2 servers are ok but they need a lot of resources... if we have 2 server we can make different channels... 1 global (all) and client specified channels: if lang == de join german i think that is a good solution. the client is multilingual and joins the default chan global and the lang chan. the client default language should be english. if we select another the client gets the selected translation... *edit but i think we need more boards for each language with their own mods. *edit again another good idea i think is a cvs or svn repository with each language and the players they want translate something can apply for this job and they have the english lang files as default and can translate them.. the game developers can include these files in a new client update or they build a function for automatic update of these files or the users can get them self. (sry for my bad english ) Last edited by Danatas; 11-19-2006 at 06:01 PM. |

Hello,
We are improving our language tools, so eventually we could have volunteers from around the world helping us with other languages. Of course, the only official languages will be the ones that could be checked by us. But we could have a list of "unofficial" languages available for translation. We are analyzing the situation and the languages that will be added first to this list, will be based on the current user demographics. This means that to have a desired language supported, there needs to be a lot of people playing the game that speaks that particular language, or that we have a local partner in such countries. Regards

We had a Language selection bug that's supposedly fixed since the last version went out (Friday, last week). Regards
