Linux
hi there~
I'm here for ask help about Linux, this game is really cool and since windows I don't play a MMORPG ;_; my question is about audio rendering... when I start the game appears a messenger: >libopenal.so not found in share... >openAL not found (anything like this) so, eventually the sounds disable, but if i install the openAL using synamptic(i use Ubuntu, Debian, beryl, openGL and others suffs not for winloosers) the game become slow!!! very slow. I think is about wrong installation of openAL; however if i disable sounds or start game without openAL installed the game runs perfect *-* exciting so, I'm asking for a Technical support forum for Linux to take care of some problems faster... thx allot! |

You can install the OpenAL libraries by using Synaptics which comes with Ubuntu (you should find it in the menues)
Search for openal with Synaptics and you should find something similar to "libopenalblabla" |

Check the linux sticky thread - the same solution works for ubuntu and suse 10.2.
I run Suse 10.2 32-bit & Ubuntu 6.10/7.04 32-bit -with beryl on Nvidia on 3 computers, no problem with regnum beyond the /etc/openalrc config - and that one always crops up. |
