Camera Zoom
What's the reason for the reduced camera zoom?

I think they wanted to achieve more fps by making you see less

Ah, I remember similar descriptions from "The Witcher". They offer several camera views there.
They say "The closer the camera the more dynamic and action is provided". This might also be a valid point.

It doesn't really seem like there's more action or more dynamic to me... All I see is an ugly character model taking up half my window when all the way zoomed out. And an even uglier troll behind :P
Maybe with the new gfx it'll be a slightly less ugly character model filling the screen.
