Is there a suggestions thread?
There seems to be many threads with various suggestions in them, wouldn't it be easier if a mod made a suggestions portion of the forum specifically for that purpose, and compile the interesting(realistic) suggestions on a sticky? Would this not help improve the game?
Anyways, i just started playing this game yesterday, and am currently a level 15 warlock in ignis, so i don't claim to be an expert. However, I do have some suggestions that would make the game more interesting up until level 30+ when you can actually go into the WZ. (from what ive heard your useless or not much use before) One of the first things i noticed in this game was the inability to see other creatures/players/entities levels. Though there is the color coded name showing the difficulty level, i believe a level system would be much more exact so you know just exactly the capabilities of the entity you are fighting. Plus in pvp, its much more gratifying to see the other players' levels so you know you killed a level 45 when you were only level 38, or maybe the other way around. (just an example) Another thing i would like to suggest is that the drops in this game aren't anything special! This is a big problem! This is one of the few mmorpg's i see that has a trade function that is NOT used. No one is selling anything, making gold absolutely worthless in this game. This could be fixed if their were SPECIFIC weapons/armor only obtainable from drops from SPECIFIC creatures in SPECIFIC areas. And I don't just mean a drop with the same weapon name but maybe like a couple points of difference in damage. I'm talking about a creature that could drop say, a staff for example that is as good as a staff at level 20, but is equippable at level 15. Maybe you could make a level 20 staff in a shop equippable at 15 if it was obtained from a drop from a creature. This would make weapons ACTUALLY valuable, since if you had a level 15 staff ( that was as powerful as a level 20) you could sell it for a hefty sum to someone who wasnt level 20 yet. This would make the ingame currency actually worth something! Finally, I'd like to point out that in a game like this that is so heavily pvp based, you would gain a LOT more players if there wasn't so much of a grind before 50. Or the fact that all the players in the WZ are 50 is preventing a large player base because players know they will have to grind before they get to the real fun. This IS SOLVED BY HAVING FUN EVEN BEFORE 50. What do i mean by this? As an example, I mean actual bosses, not just "leaders," that are extremely challenging and drop rewarding items, INSIDE the walls. This game would also be so much more fun if their was a MUCH larger community, and im sure if all the above things were added or at least considered, the player base would increase by two fold. And of course, you as players, should spread word about this game to your friends. (I already have) SORRY IF ANYTHING IN THIS POST WAS COMPLETELY INNACCURATE. ONLY MY 2nD DAY PLAYING THE GAME. DONT BE LIKE OMG YOU SCRUB YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. peace, GOSU |

PvP and level issue - you will be satisfied when you see rps you get for killing enemy.
Drops issue - you play this game only for 1 day, wait a little bit. Boss issue - there are few bosses inside walls, just ask people. Suggestion: check forum for more info. |

Well I know someone who leveled a knight from 0-25 in 4 days without boosters (slowest class to level). At that level the 1st mob you can kill in the WZ (war zone) is avaliable (adult cyclops), I suggest that you then move into the WZ for grinding and to gain valuable RvR experience and the xp is slightly better there too.
Regards

Hi Gosu the first thing to point out is that the game is and has always been developed by a team that is critically under-resourced so that's why a lot of features that you'd see in other games are missing.
Yeah there is a suggestions forum but like you say you'd expect a sticky with recurring suggestions or something, which isn't there. Your items suggestion is an interesting idea; you're right there isn't much trading at your level; there is a bit more at higher levels but the trade currency tends to be magnanite rather than gold. Also any good clan will have a clan bank and give its members equipment. About seeing levels on players and mobs, on players it might be a nice idea. On mobs I don't think it's really needed and I think after a bit more grinding you'll think the same (and sorry you've got a _lot_ more grinding to do ). If you're that interested there's a list at http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Creatures_Table but sorry it doesn't have the creatures from the ignis inner realm yet. The issue that the game is boring for lower levels and they don't get to experience the PvP/RvR: it's been highlighted many times before, and NGD is aware of it and is apparently working on it so we'll have to wait and see what they come up with. A problem for them though is that XP boosters seems to be their main source of income. Yes the PvE in the game is a joke and there's apart from the level 50+ dragons and superbosses there's nothing in the game you'd actually call a 'boss'. Apart from the issue of the time needed to be invested to improve it, NGD don't want to make the PvE too good because the game is meant to be focused on PvP. Lastly about the community, I can't really agree with you; what many people like about this game is the small and close-knit community. Although at the same time the Horus and other servers suffer a lot from inactivity and boredom due to low population. A much larger community is inevitable; the game can't survive financially without it, although it will bring the problems seen in other games: more bots, spammers, scammers, cheaters and general assholes. I think many people don't look forward to the day when Regnum becomes like that. |
