Low level's WZ
Was reading a few Regnum Reviews today and one picked up on a point we all know, the RvR in warzone is the game add to this that "In game several experianced players told me I need level 37 to take part in war, and preferably 50, in the week I played for this review I didnt reach 37 let alone 50, so why do NGD place the key aspect of thier game so far out of reach for the casual player?" NGD knows this and have mentioned that they are making a 'low level wz' (level 37 and lower I guess?) Is the feature being developed seriously? As I feel its would be a key improvement to the game and help fill the stop-gap between 'exciting new game' in the low levels to 'the acctual game' later on and hopfully eliminate the 'boring seen it all before but cant fight in wz yet' bit.

I fight in WZ scince 23. It is good to start with low level because you train to survive.

I feel a wz only for players level 1-37 would be a nice addition to the game and place the whole point of the game (wz) in reach of the casual player.

I think the situation for low lvls in the Regnum WZ isn't as bad as in some games (where you can never land a hit on an opponent several lvls higher than yourself).
Also, lower lvl players can have quite an impact in a fight. As well as dealing decent dmg with lvl 3 or 4 skills, they can also give useful buffs to allies and use dangerous debuffs on enemies. However, a WZ for lower lvls might still be a good idea, and popular too - a training ground for the future tigers of the game |

Once they've added some more WZ quests to the quest series, put the forts and castles in rational places (why would castles be on isolated peninsulas where they're completely useless for defense or attack?), added features to support more open field fighting, and balanced the classes to encourage tactics, THEN the WZ might actually become worthwhile.

Because it is an after thought, they have a scheme in mind to have a separate low level wz:
So they do have something in mind, its just taken them years I think to acknowledge it with a plan. The image was shown on the forum a month ago in this thread: http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...03&postcount=1

Hey i was in the WZ at 18 on SoL god only knows how low i went in on my Ra Knight XD
nah but id like to see a small WZ or something for our lower lvls to take part of and Gain RP & EXP for taking part Why the exp for the low lvl WZ.. you don't want people just staying in the low lvl wz and just being a Experienced player pwning noobs. This also allows Casual Players to be able to lvl up to get into the "Real Warzone" ... For the idea on how to implement the lower lvl warzone.. Id have a island that could be accessed by a inner Realm boat and would take you to a small island with a Magnanite Mine in the center whoever holds the Mine gets a higher Magnanite Drop Rate for Magna in there Realm & ability to drop 10+ magna idk just my take on it.. imo there warring needs to have some kind of purpose to it. maybe have a area where higher lvls can observe for possible Recruits % Tips

I think a separate newbie warzone will harm gameplay even more. Without influence of higher-levels, newbies will figure out strategies that are tailored for level 1-37 capabilities. In the "real" warzone these will become extra baggage of inappropriate tactics that they have to unlearn (and some will never unlearn it).
I'd much rather see XP curve adjusted or frontloading of power and discipline points so new players can make an impact sooner.

IMO it is better to have quests line in each realm that help to level up from 1 to 30 lvl without grinding. That quests should be interesting to be completed on one breath. And on 30lvl Trainer should said something like "Now you have to increase your mastery in fights with monsters" or something. Because I remember that when on 19lvl in syrtis i have finished all quests I didn`t understand what to do next.

I dunno, I see the separate noob wz thing backfiring in the end.
Consider some of the players you guys see in realm and global, there will be players that lvl to 37 and never grind again because they "pwn" in the nub wz. All realms would see this happen and it would further the imbalance of the real wz. Before I get the obligatory flame, no I dont have an answer for the lowlvls that want to participate other than grind grind grind. Yeh its tough but if you got the determination to stick with it then it pays off in the end. Letting them get out at an early stage and seeing for themselves that they need to advance is probably the best solution. |
