No sound and crashes under OpenSUSE

Last time I played the game before the New Year holidays and now it downloaded a huge update. After that there is no sound in game and crashes every 10 seconds. It also shows black screen after start and does not proceed until I press Alt+Esc.

I tried to reinstall, but nothing changed. The game is unplayable.

Try turning down graphics to a minimum.
Also try to disable sound in-game to see if that can be a source to your crashes (yes, even though you don't hear any sound it can be the reason).

Please also post some more info about your hardware and operating system so we can help you further pinpoint the problem.
Regarding the sound issue, during the startup (when you see the loading screen), press Ctrl+L to see the log and check for any errors regarding the sound system init.
