Problem with running regnum

Hello
I downloaded the game but i can't run it. i open the client, log into my char and then appears animation of NGD Studios. It laggs and after about 5 seconds game minimizes and then realtek HD audio driver's window pops up. After that i can't return to game and my computer doesn't answer.
I will be grateful for any advice.

try updating your drivers and disabling your firewalls
what operating system are you running?

also try running the game in direct3d or openal/gl

i am using windows XP
and have Geforce 8500 GT

I think all my drivers are updated, what can be the problem then?

Its not my first time playing this game, I have played it before...

but anyway i didnt notice any difference in graphic technology, what should i do?

i read that someone adviced changing in options graphic to shade, i did so but it didnt help

If you change to shader 2.0/3.0/4.0 (higher will give better graph but less fps) in adv. options then max the sliders in game you will see a large differance, dynamic shadows, new water, better lighting, better textures, more ground detail long view range etc...
