Blank screen/100% cpu usage when alt tab out of fullscreen

Just wondering if its just me who has this issue

As it didnt appear until recently (last few updates i guess) since ive always played this way, in fullscreen but alt tab out of occasionally to use Itunes/msn/websurf)

some times it just gives me a blank screen with the regnum cursor when i switch back to RO from my desktop, and it puts a huge strain on my cpu, making it very slow and unable to do much of anything aside from ctrl alt delete to kill the process (eventually..)

now i know i can play in windowed mode..but thats just a workaround, and besides i dont like to..any clue why its doing this..and is it just me?

Using Windows 7 here anyways.

i get the same thing if i alt-tab enough times (maybe 20 or so). idk how it manages to use 100% of a core i7, but it does.

I have it too but it was worse when I had lower RAM worse video card and windox XP the game was crashing most of the times i do alt + tab.
I always use alt + enter then alt tab, it crashes less that way.

Using win7 now.

but.... but..... i can alt+tab with my keyboard hand, i have to lift my mouse hand a whole 6 inches to alt+enter.

Yeah, just to mention..it doesnt happen every time..but after enough like you said..usually about 20 times or so too, and its annoying when it happens..because it totally locks my laptop up, making me go get lunch or go run an errand waiting for the silly task manager to finally appear..

I dont have a top of the line laptop either..its a dated dual core amd 2 ghz, with 4 gigs ram, but still ive never had any major problems aside from this..with RO.

...but it still does.

And fps < 30 in epic battles. phenom II x4 955, hd 5770... My PC isn't good enough for Regnum. ;-(
